When I look at TTY9 (using init.d and safe_asterisk to start the
asterisk process), I am getting some strange characters. When a
application is run the and the CLI shows the application executing the

Anyone seen this before?

anonymous function parsing bug?
...the result of the expression above should be a numeric

e.g. in comparison with node.js
##
function(x){
return(2*x)

SyntaxError: Unexpected token (

Or Haskell (and basically every complete functional languange)

which leads to 4 (... okay, that is not comparable because here the
parenthesis make a closure which also works in R or node.js).
However, I think it's weird that
> ( function(x) { return(2*x) } ( 2 ) ) (3)
is a legal statement which results to 6 and that the &qu...

Patch to deliver
Hi Timo!
I wrote a little patch to add the capability of the deliver to
customize the "subject" of the rejection messages.
Now is possibly to translate the body and subject!
In dovecot.conf:
rejection_reason_subject = Automatically rejected mail to %t
rejection_reason = Your message to <%t> was automatically rejected:%n%r
Please, review the patch! :D

estimation stable distribution parameters
Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone of you already implemented in R or S+ the
methods of estimation the parameters of stable distribution. If there is, i
will be happy to get the copy of the codes.

test stream update
...itles we should create separate streams for each translation,
but do we want to do that for the static metadata? Does RDF already have a
way to handle this?
Most of our discussion was about the timecoded metadata. The proverbial
scrolling lyrics, but this must also serve for subtitles (in multiple
languanges), transcripts, commentary, headlines, guitar tabulature,
and so on. Our most important concern to maintain maximum flexibility.
As I've said before, I think it's important to have at least some kind of
inline text markup. Raw text, even with unicode, is too limited. So we
waved the magic...

Help with Projection Pursuit, ppr().
Hi,
Recently, I installed the 1.1.0 version of R (for Windows), since it includes an implementation of Projection Pursuit (I failed to write my own version of PP as a standalone C++ program).
As far as I know, R offers two interfaces/sintax for the ppr() function. The first one requieres a regression formula and a data frame. The other requieres X, a matrix with the explanatory variables, and Y,

Need Advice: Considering Converting a Package from S3 to S4
Hello R Folks...
Not a technical question, but I need some advice and perspective.
I?ve got a set of functions I?m planning to put together into a package.
The main hunk of data that gets used by different functions is currently an
S3 list. I?ve been reading about S4 objects, and I see the (numerous)
advantages of them. I have seen the recommendation that all new packages be
done with S4.

anonymous function parsing bug?
Hi,
I hope this is the correct list for my question. I found a wired
behaviour of my R installation on the evaluation of anonymous functions.
minimal working example
###
f<-function(x) {
print( 2*x )
}(2)
class(f)
f(3)
f<-function(x) {
print( 2*x )
}(4)(5)
f(6)
###
leads to
###
> f<-function(x) {
+ print( 2*x )
+ }(2)
>
> class(f)

PXE boot, Kickstart NFS install and %include...
I was just wondering how (or indeed if) people use the %include
directive in Kickstart configuration files when building systems via
NFS. I've been trying to modularise our Kickstart files a little to
make things more readable, having generic defaults and role specific
stuff split out into separate configs.
I've tried this configuration...

[PATCH 1/2] build: isolate common po-docs logic
Move most of the content of either po-docs/ja/Makefile.am or
po-docs/uk/Makefile.am to po-docs/language.mk, and use it exclusively
instead of the former contents of the languange-specific Makefile.am.
This way, either adding a new documentation or enabling a new language
will not require copying over the same make code.
