Extracting the name of a function (inverse of match.fun("myFun"))
Hi all,
is there a way to extract the name of a function, i.e. do the reverse
of match.fun applied to a character string? I would like to print out
the name of a function supplied to another function as an argument.
For example:
myFunc = function(x) { x+1 }
applyFunc = function(fnc, x)
{
fnc = match.fun(fnc)
fnc(x)
}
Is there a way to obtain "myFunc" from the argument fnc in

OpenBLAS in everyday R?

affect install times.
- MKL seems like it's been outright rejected in the past based on not
being "free-enough".
- OpenBLAS causes crashes.
Has anyone tried ExBLAS for use with R?

openblas
Hello, macosx 10.13.6, Rdevel r76458
I'm trying to compile against openblas to reproduce an error on the
CRAN check page (my package is clean under winbuilder and all but one
of the checks). I've downloaded and installed openblas 0.3.7 but I
am not 100% sure that it is being used by R.
Using
./configure --with-blas="-lopenblas"
Then running R to discover the PID I get:

R-patched is now R-beta?
Just downloaded the newest R-patched.tar.bz. DEcompressing and
untarring now produces a directory R-beta instead of the usual (for
me, at least) R. The file VERSION now says 3.2.2 beta. Just wanted to
double-check that there is no mixup of development and patched
versions.
Thanks,

tcltk problems
Rolf,
looking at the configure script I believe you need to specify
--with-tcl-config=/usr/lib/tcl8.6/tclConfig.sh
and similarly
--with-tk-config=<location of tkConfig.sh>

In the past I have configured without using the "--with-tcltk" flag,
and R of course built just fine. But it *did not* have tcltk
capability. When I wanted that capability I had to start using the
