Accessing Voicemail(Asterisk) -- Remotely either from Cell or Landline
Hi, I was wondering if we can check the voicemails remotely from a cell or a landline number.
We have SIP 3 Digit Extensions connected to Asterisk server.
If users are away from Desk & need to access voicemails can they dial in to Asterisk PBX & check their messages.
I know one can check through web link & even have mailed. Aslo I have checked regarding DISA, but I am not kind of

country code list
I was wondering if anyone has put together a comprehensive list (that is
reasonably maintained) that lists country codes, landline numbers,
mobile numbers, etc. The particular requirement is for a dialplan to
know what is going to be charged to whom.
For example, mobile and landline rates are the same in the US the US has
a unified numbering plan of 1NXXNXXXXXX, while the UK has:

Problem with busydetect and cell phones
I have a very strange problem I'm hoping someone has encountered already.
I've scoured the internet for an answer to this one. My phone company
provides no disconnect supervision. Hence I'm forced to use the busydetect
feature. I have a TDM400 with two FXO ports. If I call from an internal
extension to a landline and then hangup the landline Asterisk detects the
busy signal

help on dial plan
The following is my dialplan for outgoing international call. What I want are:
- when people dial 9011604xxxxxxx , 9011605xxxxxxx, 90114411xxxxxxx,
90114421xxxxxxx, use voipstunt to dial out
- otherwise, use my pstn to dial out.

Just got defrauded - how do I block calls which contain a dash (RegEx noob question)
Hi list,
I'm using Asterisk2Billing (v2.0.16) and it appears to have an annoying
bug. When there are rates for e.g. 44 (UK landline) and 44870 (UK
premium) and a fraudster manages to somehow dial 44-870 instead of 44870
the rate for 44 will match, not the one for 44870.
So, I would like to block all calls on a dialplan level that contain a
dash. -44, 4-4, 44-, 44---, -, ---, just

Reception of vocal SMSs to landlines.
Hi all,
we face a problem with SMS reception sended to _landlines_, at least in
France.
Normally operators -tested with France Telecom and SFR- are sending
voice SMSs from a particular CID number, so no problem. But today we
discover that -at least SFR- send from time to time voice SMSs with
original callerID which means that the call is terminated like a no...

Country numbering plan resources
Is there any good free / accurate online resources with detailed country
numbering plans? Failing that let's get something running ourselves.
I was also thinking maybe people present could contribute some information on
this list for now. The countries I am after are below.
To start this off I will provide the information for Australia +61 and New
Zealand +64.

We're trying to forward an incoming SIP call from voipfone (UK ITSP) that
originated from a UK landline back up a SIP trunk to the same ITSP and on to
another UK landline number.
UK Landline->voipfone->asterisk 1.4->voipfone->UK landline
About 1 in 3 times the call at the final landline is silent and we see "RTP

Asterisk Interface with mobile phone
Hi:
I live in a country where calls from landline phone to a mobile phones is more expensive than mobile to mobile. I have FXO card connected to the landline. SIP audio cut off even with Answer, Wait...
Hello everyone,
Having recently gotten Broadvoice inbound DTMF to work (thanks Greg)...I
am now running into a frustrating problem...when a call comes in to the
BV number via a cell phone (tested with 3 different cell phones; albeit
all on T-Mobile) the beginning of the IVR welcome audio is cut off. A
call placed via a landline phone over the PSTN to the BV number does not
exhibit the problem.
