Adding zvols to a DomU
...ol> hdb --device phy
to attach the zvol as c0d1. Replacing hdb by hdd gives me c1d1 but then
that is it. Being able to attach several more zvols would be nice but even
being able to get at c1d0 would be useful
Am I missing something or can I only attach to hda/hdb/hdd?
Thanks
John

Mounting directories below share level
...the next node up the tree (level1), which is the directory on the
share,
i.e. //host/share/level1/user_home_directories
We need to directly mount //host/share/level1/user_home_directory on Linux
clients, as we can do on 2000/XP clients. Will linux_cifs give me that
possibility?
Thanks

Dom0 cache-ing MAC addresses?
...because the new MAC/IP relationship isn''t logged.
Any way to flush what is obviously a cached MAC address from Dom0 without
a reboot?
I''d like to keep the old MAC address as we use the last 2 numbers
of the IP address to form the last 4 digits of the MAC.
Thanks
John

Re: [linux-cifs-client] Mounting directories below share level
...at present to be
ignoring -o user= and -o username= and trying to bind as the process doing
the mount, i.e. root This leads to the olddir appearing to be readonly and
not mounting (i'm playing about with this on the smb mounted directory)
Many thanks for all your help with this

Re: [linux-cifs-client] Mounting directories below share level
...rShare1$ /mnt -v -o
user=test,pass=******,netbiosname=ma
As the mount appears to have been OK, can I stop cifs trying to access the
share after mount? I tried -o noserverino but it comes back as an unknown
option.
mount.cifs version 1.5
kernel 2.6.9
TIA for any help & advice
