Samba(3.2.12 and 3.4.0) - Winbind - trusted domains - Problem!
...tched on one Server to Samba 3.4.0. It seems to work! "wbinfo -u" and "getent passwd" shows the same count of users. But after one hour i got this when i logon from Domain1 to Domain2: "session setup failed: NT code 0x1c010002". "dom1:/# smbclient -U MITARBEITER+r.lamboj //server-dom2/all-homes". Domain Logons work. You can logon from a PC that is Member of Domain1 to Domain2. But i cant Access Shares from the other Domain. When i send a SIGHUP Signal to winbindd it will work again for one hour(or less), sometimes i need to kill winbindd and restart it.

Change the OS Level of Windows
Hello,
is there a way of changing the OS Level of Windows XP? Some time ago i have seen a strange thing. We have running 70 Windows XP Clients and we have three trusted domains with Samba. Sometimes logons on trusted domains are very slow or doesnt work. So i have searched and searched. I have turned one windows xp client after one off. I have found three Windows XP Computer that makes troubles.

Your password expires today problem
Hi.
I enabled policies with pdbedit. Password must be changed every 90 days and
must contain at least 8 characters. I enabled password history too.
After that (I tried it in samba 3.4.3 and 3.0.25 with same behaviour) every
time a user try to log in the domain using Windows receives a "Your password
expires today. Do you want to change it now ?" message box. If the password

when i send the SIGHUP signal to Samba, then Samba won't load the printers
from CUPS. I need to shutdown Samba and start it again.
Now when i'am running cupsaddsmb i got the following errors(this error occours
in 3.5.x but not in 3.2.x):

User Permissions on Trusted Domains
Hello,
i have two Questions about Permissions in Trusted Domain.
1.) When User1 from the Domain1 creates a File in a share from antoher
Domain(Trusted Domain) - lets call it Domain2 - than the File has the
following Owner: "DOMAIN2\root" and not "DOMAIN1\user1". So "force user = %U"
does not work and removing this Option won't work too. But the Group settings
