future time stamps warning
...4954/Debian/00check.log
The package is at
https://github.com/rOpenGov/eurostat/
I did not find guidance (search engines, R extensions manual)
on how to solve this. Perhaps we would need to generate the
files in a certain order but not sure what is the correct order.
Any tips?
kind regards

and I want the levels from tmp2 be shown as a column in the data.frame, not
as row name as it now does. To put it in another way, as a result, I want a
data frame with two columns: levels and the sums of those levels. Row names
can be, for example, numbers from 1 to 10.

markdown vignette with the vignette command
...command.
I assume the reason is that the vignette function only shows PDF vignettes.
Is there any way to circumvent this and display markdown vignettes directly
from within R?
I tried to seek the answer from R archives and search engines but could not
find the solution so far.

Unless there is a undocumented form of the "option switch.case"

some such?

Samba-PDC+LDAP Domain logon problem
Hello!
I have Samba with LDAP password backend.
-Logging to shell works with ldap accounts
-Logging to smb-share works with ldap accounts
-Adding computers to domain with (shown in conf. file) and without (manually)
works
But here's my problem:
-Logging to domain with username & passwd doesn't work
When using smbpasswd -file as backend it works
After 3 days of googling I'm

tar: File changed as we read it
tar: blah.bleh: file changed as we read it
I have a file (two files actually) with different timestamps on the AFR
backends -- I presume because the file timestamp was set to the current time,
when the last write operation completed and there is some minor clock skew or
network lag. tar notices this intermittently, depending on which mirror
handles the request.
It is a little distracting

Linux rcp bug
[Mod: This is a misconfiguration of a site. nobody''s uid should not be -1 -- alex]
When playing around with rcp on Linux, we found something interesting,
that we haven''t seen mentioned on bugtraq before:

exploiting a problem with /usr/bin/rcp. Many applications are running as

For the record: these errors came in R 1.0.0 from the CRAN site rpm package
for RH Linux 6.2 and with R INSTALLed VR_6.1-7.tar.gz from the same site.

points which the lines connect are not in the middle of the groups in x-axis
as I would want them to be. The bars in the barplot are not stacked. I'm
sorry that I'm not able to give you the scripts to make those tables.

Colleagues,
I'm developing a library of functions for community ecology analyses and
have a couple of questions that I've not been able to answer via faqs or

1) Are there existing functions for:
a) Bray-Curtis (polar) ordination?
b) non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS)?
c) canonical correlation analyses (CCA and DCA)?
d) TWINSPAN (doubtful...)?

GlusterFS compared to KosmosFS (now called cloudstore)?
Hi.
I'm evaluating GlusterFS for our DFS implementation, and wondered how it
compares to KFS/CloudStore?
These features here look especially nice (
http://kosmosfs.sourceforge.net/features.html). Any idea what of them exist
in GlusterFS as well?
Regards.
