Voipbuster blocking Asterisk/IAX connections?
What settings are people using? I've seen the ones from dslreports but
I'm in that lucky group of people that paid the 1 euro just to have it
no longer work. Even after I setup a additional account over the
weekend it still doesn't work. And, of course, etherreal only shows
encrypted traffic so I can't snag any config settings from it.
Any assistance?

IAX inbound failing
Hi,
I'm testing an upgrade from 1.4.18 to 1.4.37 in a VM prior to putting it
into production.
Ive done this by installing 1.4.18 onto the VM, putting my config files
in place and then installing 1.4.37 over the top (which is what I'd have
to do on production).
I've found a few issues in the config files, but nothing I couldn't
handle until... I hit inbound IAX issues.

VoipBuster again
Hi, all
I am still battling to connect * and voipbuster.
What protocol does it use? Ethereal capture shows UDP traffic, but no SIP or
IAX traffic when using their client.
VoipBuster client connects to connectionserver.voipbuster.com on port 11112
for authentication. Call itself is placed on different server.
I have tried to connect using SIP and IAX and it seems that no
authentication is

IAX2 Sporadic TX/RX retries
Hi,
I'm trying to track down why I'm getting calls dropped on an infrequent basis
between two asterisk servers which are at the same physical location and
connected to each other with UTP ethernet. Here is the connection diagram
Asterisk Server 1 ===UTPENET== Switch ====UTPENET==== Asterisk Server 2
I see sporadic RX and TX frame retries when I enable iax2 debugging on either
box.

back at the starting point, the echoed timestamp is compared with "now"
and a lag is derived.
Notice that the compared timestamp is our own - so I don't agree with
Steve's claim that the two ends need synchronised clocks.
Each end of the IAX call send LAGRQs every 10 seconds, so the measurements
are just a snapshot and not some sort of super accurate smoothed figure or
anything.
Its important to understand about the impact of native bridging (see
chan_iax2.c, forward_packet). If an IAX2 call goes over multiple hops.

IAX2 insists on not using port 4569??
For some reason, starting just today, 1 out 3 of my asterisk servers is
having issues calling 1 other server. The only issue I see is that when
it registers with the problem server it is using port 1027, not 4569.
ie:
Registered to 'Server 1', who sees us as 'Server 2':1027
Server 1 then proceeds to timeout trying to register with Server 2.
The way I have each server registering

DTMF via IAX ignored after a few seconds
I'm new to this list, and I apologize if this is an already answered
question, but my Google-fu was not strong enough to find the answer if
it was.
I'm having a problem with DTMF on incoming IAX calls. For the first few
seconds of the call (between maybe 1 and 15, it varies from call to
call) everything works fine. After that I continue get DTMF_E messages
from the remote IAX server

FireFly Problem
G'Day,
I have a bit of FireFly problem that hopefully someone has seen before.
What happens is if I make to or receive a call from the FireFly network
the call will connect successfully. However, around 10 seconds after I
answer the call I am disconnected. The weird thing is same thing happens
if I make a call.
I've had a look at the * console and I can't see that my * PBX drops

IAX certificate-based authentication
Howdy!
I'm still trying to make it onto the 1.4 releases. Almost ready to
make the switch, but here's one last thing that doesn't seem to work:
Server A calls Server B over IAX, i.e "Dial(IAX2/SrvB/${EXTEN},60)".
Both machines are set up in iax.conf to use RSA certificate-based
authentication. The public keys have been exchanged. This setup works
just fine as long as Server
