The assumption is that only one instance of libvirtd would be running on the machine at a time, but still, inside chroot. At the Lago project[1] we basically have a set of scripts that does something similar, but we need to maintain our own format which differs from the index file format in order to store few more metadata parameters. About maxlen parameter in queues
