[LLVMdev] Compiler Benchmarks
FYI,
Yesterday's Slashdot had an article about Linux compiler benchmarks from
Coyote Gulch (Scott Ladd). In this update he compares GCC and ICC. You
can read the article here:
http://www.coyotegulch.com/reviews/linux_compilers/
Of particular note was his use of SciMark 2.0 which is a NIST developed
benchmark for scientific computing. Its available in both java and C and
computes a MFLOPS number. I...

Problems with RSync and Windows 2000
Im trying to script an Rsync batch job to run multiple times a day to
back up to Windows 2000 Servers. The Synch works great, but at the end
of the job the command never exits. It just sits there is some weird
hanging state. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.

Interesting pages on optimizations.
Scott Robert Ladd has realized an analysis of GNU C and C++ optimizations, using
a genetic algorithm to discover the most effective optimization flags for
different algorithms.

iptables 1.3.7, kernel 2.6.19, ROUTE and Layer7 issues
Hi, I''m having problems with this configuration:
iptables 1.3.7 (vanilla or repackaged for fc5)
kernel 2.6.19 (vanilla)
ROUTE 1.11 (last pom-ng)
layer7-filter 2.6 (last in sf.net)
connlimit (last pom-ng)
When I try to use -j ROUTE in any chain in mangle table I have this error:
[root@myhost ~]# iptables -v -t mangle -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport msnp
-j ROUTE --gw

I know its early in LLVM's life for something like this, but I thought
I'd mention it so it can be tucked away in the "think about this later"

the URI) I can''t recreate my URI.
For example.
Building.post(:name, {"name"=>"new-home", "description"=>"new-
description"})
Will give me back this.
/locations/buildings/name.xml?description=new-description&name=new-
name # ladd the name string!
Also if I set nil it change the URI, and so this break my tests.
Thanks a lot for your time.

Non-registry problem: Slow printing
Greetings,
I have a client running samba-3.0.24 with mostly Windows-XP clients.
They can print to some printers (those with drivers provided by Microsoft)
without problem.
They can also print to printers with vendor supplied printer drivers
but they end up waiting up to 30 seconds just to select the printer.
There is a similar wait when adding the printer to the list of printers
the XP client
