Oggetto: [Samba] High CPU utilization with samba2.2.5 on HPUX 11.00
Hello, I need some help for a strange problem.
I have an HP L2000 server ( 2 CPU and 2 GB RAM ) with HPUX 11.00 and with samba 2.2.5 installed
Below my smb.conf:
workgroup = <my-w2k-domain>
netbios name = <my-server>
interfaces = <my-ip-address>
bind interfaces only = Yes
security = DOMAIN
username map = /usr/local/samba/lib/smb_users.ma...

SOLUTION: ssh not resolving host names on HP-UX 11i
...ixed by installing PHNE_27796.
Just a bit more background here, it turns out that the problem did
*not* manifest itself on all of our 11i boxes, only the newer ones
(rp8400's, B2600's). Can't figure any rhyme or reason as to why. The
11i boxes that ssh did work without the patch were L2000's, that were
configured years ago.
Needless to say, HP support was *useless* in this -- they said they
don't support openssh-3.7.1p2. I kind of stumbled onto that patch,
(since libnss_dns.1 is not a shared object for the ssh binary). But
this is another story...
Oh well, hope this hel...

HP-UX slow login problem found?
...quite useful.
I'm using the latest of everything...
OpenSSH 3.4p1
OpenSSL 0.9.7 Beta 2
libz 1.1.4
gcc 3.1 (using gas from binutils 2.12.1)
HP ANSI C compiler (version B.11.01.06)
Although this is a 64-bit OS, I'm compiling everything in 32-bit mode.
I'm running on an 9000/L2000-44 under HP-UX 11.0. This is a
two-processor 440MHz PA-RISC 2.0 system. If you only have a PA-RISC
1.x processor I think you may still be out of luck?? You can check
your processor version by running the command "getconf CPU_VERSION".
If it returns 532 or higher you have a 2.0 processo...
