...much goverened by this, I can install whatever linux is required, although I know Fedora, so CentOS etc is possible. I've just tried uninstalling Samba 4 from my F20 laptop to play with Samba 3. Can someone explain to me why to remove Samba I also have to remove 166 dependencies including kwalletmanager, kmail and kdeartwork-screensavers?????

So, the other admin I work with comes by, and we're both using kde, and he asks me to to go the start menu, and fire up kwalletmanager. I do... and nothing happens. ps tells me it's running, but there is no window. What's supposed to happen? This is 6.5 mark "don't use it, anyway, but...."
