Here are the right one with the chardev error only:
# virt-install --name f20vm --disk /home/kvmimages/f20vm --cdrom
/home/kvmimages/Fedora-20-x86_64-DVD.iso --memory 2048 -d

When tyring to create new VM with virt-install, I am getting:
virt-install --name eff1 --disk /home/kvmimages/eff1.img --cdrom
/home/kvmimages/Fedora-20-x86_64-DVD.iso --memory 4096B
ERROR Error: --memory 4096B: invalid literal for int() with base 10:
'4096B'
[root@eff1 kvmimages]# virt-install --name eff1 --disk
/home/kvmimages/eff1.img --cdrom

Understanding the use of virt-install from the CLI (Linux)
...ound though, I'd like to use the CLI approach. The problem
resides in defining a storage space. This is using virt-install 1.5.1
on Xubuntu 18.04.
For the occasion I created a new directory to store images. So I
specify this new directory:
virt-install \
--name=arch01 \
--disk path=/Share2/KVMImages/arch01.qcow2 \
--disk size=10 \
[ ... ]
The above will not work as it reports:
'must be a file or a device, not a directory'
So I specify a file:
[ ... ]
--disk path=/Share2/KVMImages/arch01.qcow2 \
--disk size=10 \
[ ... ]
And it reports:
'Size must be specified for non existen...

After full new install of Fedora 19 or 20, I am getting this when I want
