[ovirt-users] Re: Gluster problems, cluster performance issues
I would check disks status and accessibility of mount points where your gluster volumes reside. ...performance, could you disable cluster.eager-lock and see if that makes any difference: # gluster volume set <VOL> cluster.eager-lock off Do also capture the volume profile again if you still see performance issues after disabling eager-lock. -Krutika On Wed, May 30, 2018 at 6:55 AM, Jim Kusznir <jim at palousetech.com> wrote: > I also finally found the following in my system log on one server: > > [10679.524491] INFO: task glusterclogro:14933 blocked for more than 120 > seconds. > [10679.525826] "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" > dis...

winbind capabilities
.... We don't really know how to; we're in the brainstorming phase. One possibility I had was mount their home directory via CIFS; another was NFSv4 with kerberos. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any cool ways to do this with samba/winbind/samba tools? Thanks in advance! --Jim Kusznir Unix System Admin Washington State University, School of EECS

Attempts to bring it online fail, and I haven't figured out what log file to look in yet for more details. [ovirt-users] Gluster problems, cluster performance issues
Do you see errors reported in the mount logs for the volume? If so, could you attach the logs? Any issues with your underlying disks. Can you also attach output of volume profiling? winbind ubuntu 9.10 crashing machine
Hi all: I've got a couple Ubuntu 9.10 machines that are suffering from a recurring failure of winbind that essentially crash the machine. When the system is in the "crashed state", one can ping the system, but all forms of login fail. It will not even respond to tftpd requests; ssh connections "time out", but the initial port is opened (just no connect). Rebooting does

igraph build problems
Hello: I've been trying for days now to get igraph working on a debian sarge install. There does not appear to be any pre-built packages, and when I try and install within R, it blows up on the final linking, claiming its unable to find libgfortran (which IS installed, and IS working for all other users of the compiler). I started up R and ran: install.packages("igraph"). It

winbind doing dns on short domain
Hi all: I'm building an authentication infrastructure for combined windows plus linux clients. To that end, I have a Win Server 2008r2 ADS and a win svr 2008r2 client, and an ubuntu 9.10 client running the default samba + winbind (whatever is in their production repos). I had it 95% working this morning...Then all of a sudden, all winbind queries died. No idea why. I spent the entire day

Winbind home directory not resolving properly
Hi all: I've got an issue on one of my winbind-configured systems. I've got it configured per instructions found on one of ubuntu's forum sites. I've configured two 9.10 systems, one works perfectly. I've copied most of the files over to the non-working system; they are configured identically as far as I can tell. On both systems, wbinfo -u/-g, getent passwd, and ssh login
