[CTDB] "use mmap = no" Causes wibind to fail
...of lustre. Is the wiki information still accurate? If so, what needs to change about my configuration to fix this issue? If the information is out of date and the modern utility of "use mmap = no" is unknown, how can I test it? As always, thank you for your time and attention, Christian Kuntz -- <http://opendrives.com>

Nodes in CTDB Cluster don't release recovery lock
Hello all, First of all, apologies if this isn't the right location for this question, I couldn't find a CTDB specific mailing list or IRC so I figured the general one would be appropriate. Please let me know if this question is better placed elsewhere. I'm trying to test clustered samba and have a two node CTDB setup (Following the guide here:

Using SSSD + AD with Samba seems to require Winbind be running
Hi all, Configuration information right off the bat: Debian Buster 10.5 and Samba 2:4.9.5+dfsg-5+deb10u1. Testparm is at the bottom I'm running into some interesting behavior on a server I've configured to use SSSD to bind to the AD domain. I've successfully bound using "net ads" and can get tickets and so on, and have samba configured to use kerberos through sssd.

Performance Degradation when copying >1500 files to mac
Hello all, I'm running into a significant performance issue where copying a couple thousand <3kb files from my stretch SMB server to a mac client. Dragging + dropping the files from the gui results in a long period of time in which the client is "preparing to copy" and then actually transferring, during this time transfer starts around 300MB/s, then after around 5-10 seconds

embedded Samba
Does anyone know if Samba is being used on embedded devices as their SMB protocol stack? I have seen new hard disk arrays ("the Snap It hard drive or something like that") which is supposed to be MUCH more reliable than actual "computer file servers" because it is just a hard drive with a small embedded OS and web administration. NO OS HASSELS... I really like our new Lexmark
