kudos
I'm sure this isn't said enough, so kudos to Timo for what has to be the best IMAP server anywhere, hands-down no qualifications! And to think, it's a one man operation ... although perhaps that is one of the reasons it is so good.

...first program generated by the Stacker compiler to compile, link and execute. The entire control flow of Stacker is done (mind you its trivial). All that remains is to fill in code generation for about 60 built-in words. I'm shocked. 8 Hours work? Is compiler writing supposed to be this easy? Kudos. LLVM Rocks. Public kudos to Timo
I'm sitting here working away on various unrelated projects and watching patch after patch after patch flow in from Timo to fix all sorts of problems people are reporting. A coding madman on fire. Thanks Timo, you rock. I appreciate the time you spend on this software, I'm sure everyone else does as well. :) -te -- Troy Engel | Systems Engineer Fluid, Inc | http://www.fluid.com

Kudos all that maintain this awesome and enduring piece of software. Awesome job, many thanks. I’ve come across a use case that would greatly benefit form a —delete-older-than <secs> argument. This would behave the same as —delete only sparing files dest that have a creating time less than <sec...

Kudos to all (GC works really well)
I am a lurker on the mailing list and a quiet but active user of R. I recently needed to do some exploration and modelling on a large set of data. In the past I would have been sceptical about how well R's memory management and garbage collection would perform. I fully expected R or my operating system to grind to a crashing halt. However I was delighted with the memory performance.

R kudos
This is not a request for help, but I thought the readers of this mailing list might appreciate the following, anyway. I have been working with US EPA's (that's the United States Environmental Protection Agency) Office of Pesticides on a preliminary assessment for the effects of exposure to multiple organophosphate pesticides on human health (as required by the Food Quality Protection

Kudos (and SVG)
Dear all, I have just finished my thesis titled "Gravitational Microlensing of Quasar Clouds", and the following paragraph appeared in my "Acknowledgements": "I would like to thank the authors of R and the R core team for their great skill and dedication in developing this software, and to all the members of the R-help mailing list, especially Brian D. Although many apps were and may have been supported at the time it always seemed that the one I wanted to run was either not supported at all or very limited... kernel panic on ext3
Hello, Sir. My name is Hiroyuki Kudo. I have a problem using ext3 in my system DELL PowerEdge 1550. I recently installed RedHat 7.2 (kernel-2.4.7-2) and found that it used ext3. Later, since I needed to use nfsv4, I got kernel-2.4.4-nfsv4. But it didn't start up and saying `kernel panic` What is wrong with it? If the problem can be cleared with ext3-patch, how can I do it?

This game uses only DirectX 7 features, so it should be fully compatible with WINE. I've gotten it to install and run under Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex beta, WINE version 1.1.6. (The game has an irritating bug with my chipset that requires me to change the resolution before starting; this is not WINE's fault.) However, once I click on the Begin New Game button, the textures go all weird; many

Kudos to the R support team
Hi there, I just wanted to take a quick second to thank everyone who maintains this service- just in case you don't hear it enough, there are a plethora of people who rely on this service (as evidenced by the help archives), and even if they don't say it, are greatly thankful for what you do here. Not only are you providing a service to people who are learning R, but indeed helping

New User: Kudos, small/old platform, RPM Illegal Instruction
Hello All! My 1st use of CentOS went well on my later eqpt. Thanks and congrats on a good product. Figured I might as well see if I could use it on some old stuff, still good but obsolete. Picked an AMD 5x86 (equivalent to a Pentium 75 MHz) and decided to see if I could make it my gateway/router. Had some difficulties, not unexpected. Old CD drive couldn't read the CDs. No boot from CD

[LLVMdev] Hey, who said you could use Obsequi's code!
...yway I was just wondering how John Criswell ever ran across such a low profile program, and why he decided to include it into the llvm source tree? I would be interested to know. I hope it wasn't just for a laugh... By the way I ran across an article on llvm a couple of months ago on slashdot. Kudos to the entire group working on it, it sounds quite interesting. Nathan Bullock ps. What is the Ph.D. program like at the University, what sort of funding is available, etc? I have thought about doing a Ph.D. but have never been brave enough to give up my full time job. ===== Visit my website at...

FLAC support in Phatbox car audio system
...udio system) now has firmware to support FLAC files. I have a news bullet on the FLAC site: http://flac.sourceforge.net/news.html#20020213 This is the first hardware support for FLAC (more is coming) and I think the first support of any non-proprietary lossless audio format for any hardware. Kudos to Phatnoise for taking the lead. Josh __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games http://sports.yahoo.com

Mapstraction Sandbox & V2 push
Greetings from the day of rest after a week of Where. It was a great time out here - and there is a lot of interest in the community around Mapstraction. The new Sandbox (http://mapstraction.appspot.com) made surprisingly quick rounds and lots of kudos. It will be a great place to demo Mapstraction and encourage developers. We had a very good discussion about Mapstraction at WhereCamp. Pamela Fox took some good notes that hopefully she''ll post here soon so that we can discuss and take action. I also added an initial round of tickets on...

[PATCH 2/3] Pnp bios gdt fix
PnP BIOS for x86 is part of drivers, so I missed it in the initial GDT page alignment patch. Kudos to Andrew for fixing that. Unfortunately, fixing the build introduced a kernel panic when trying to setup the as of yet unallocated GDTs for the APs. This fixes the problem by setting only the BSP's GDT, then copying the PnP segments back to the cpu_gdt_table template. Signed-off-by: Zachary A...
