[PATCH] btrfs: fixes for kobject changes in mainline
Here's a patch against the unstable tree that gets the code to build against Linus's current tree (2.6.24-git12). This is needed as the kobject/kset api has changed there. I tried to make the smallest changes needed, and it builds and loads successfully, but I don't have a btrfs volume anywhere (yet) to try to see if things still work properly :) Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de> --- Note, I can remove a lot more s...

[PATCH 0/2] Move /sys/o2cb to /sys/fs/o2cb
Hi Greg, The following two patches move /sys/o2cb into /sys/fs/o2cb as we previously discussed. A symlink is created to maintain compatibility with existing versions of ocfs2-tools. A patch to automatically search /sys/fs/o2cb has been committed to the ocfs2-tools repo and a release with that code shouldn't be too far out. Old versions of ocfs2-tools have been tested and work fine with the

Two R sessions?
Hi R users, I am still a relatively new R user migrated from S+. I wonder in R how do you handle one difference between R and S+. S+ saves objects as different files in .Data directory while R saves all objects in a big file .RData. In S+, I can start two S+ sessions from the same directory and work simultaneously as long as new objects in the two sessions are not in the same names. This is

[PATCH net-next v5 0/6] virtio-net: mergeable rx buffer size auto-tuning
The virtio-net device currently uses aligned MTU-sized mergeable receive packet buffers. Network throughput for workloads with large average packet size can be improved by posting larger receive packet buffers. However, due to SKB truesize effects, posting large (e.g, PAGE_SIZE) buffers reduces the throughput of workloads that do not benefit from GRO and have no large inbound packets. This

[PATCH v2 00/12] gendisk: Generate uevent after attribute available
The race condition is noticed between disk_add() and disk attributes, on virtio-blk hotplug. Userspace listens to the KOBJ_ADD uevent generated in add_disk(). At that point we haven't created the serial attribute file, therefore depending on how fast udev reacts, the /dev/disk/by-id/ entry doesn't always get created. As pointed out by Christoph Hellwig in the specific fix [1], virtio-blk

[PATCH 00/15] Fix issue with KOBJ_ADD uevent versus disk attributes
This is an attempt to fix the issue that some disks' sysfs attributes are not ready at the time its KOBJ_ADD event is sent. The symptom is during device hotplug, udev may fail to find certain attributes, such as serial or wwn, of the disk. As a result the /dev/disk/by-id entries are not created. The cause is device_add_disk emits the uevent before returning, and the callers have to create
