option -l of smbd ignored
Hi,
the option -l (name of logfile) of smbd is ignored in samba 2.0.6.
The reason:
In smbd/server.c first the argument of the option is copied to the
variable debugf. Then debugf is initialized with SMBLOGFLE (default
value).
"log file" in the configuration file works.

cannot access files after update samba 3.0.5 -> 3.0.6 (Redhat 6.2)

but the file really is not locked by anyone else.
The share is on a local harddisk. This is not a NFS re-export problem.
Looks as if configure thinks that Redhat 6.2 supports some kind of locking but it does not.

kernel oplocks
...heless set to "yes".
I also compiled Samba 2.0.7 on UnixWare 7. The same line is generated
in acconfig.h, but even here kernel oplocks are set to "yes".
Obviously the man page of smb.conf is wrong.
But are there any UNIXs besides IRIX that support kernel oplocks ?

Need formatting help - ctree - plot.party - node_hist
Hi,
I am trying to get the terminal nodes of a plot of a ctree object to look nice.
Using the iris data I have:
library(party)
mtree <- ctree(Species ~ ., data=iris)
plot(mtree,terminal_panel=node_barplot(mtree))
The terminal nodes don't display the species names because the names
are displayed horizontally. ?I would like to reduce the size of the
labels and make the terminal nodes

Problems booting 2.6.7 Dom0 with 3ware Controllers
I tried to install and boot a 2.6.7 Dom0 xenLinux Kernel on an
SMP (Dual-Xeon) Machine with 2 3-ware Controllers installed
(1 4-channel Controler and 1 8-channel Controler, both Parallel ATA)
and no other HDs present (except the ones connected to the
3ware controlers, of course).
First of all I got a compilation error after activating the SMP option
in the kernel config.
