Re: error: internal error: unable to execute QEMU command 'blockdev-mirror': Cannot find device= nor node_name=
...sting the reply I gave in the bug you filed at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1792088. The bug was caused by the switch to use blockdev. It was fixed in libvirt-6.0 which was released yesterday with the following patchset: commit f5259ba4027807e82ce040f63db40efe56e86925 Author: Peter Krempa <pkrempa@redhat.com> Date: Fri Dec 6 18:50:46 2019 +0100 qemu: migration: Properly setup mirror for blockdev configurations With blockdev we need to refer to the nodename of the disk source image as the source argument for the blockdev-mirror operation while still keep...

Encrypting boot partition Libvirt not showing the OS booting up
Hi, I have installed Debian Buster with encrypted LVM so apon installation my root partition is encrypted. So far so good but as soon as I encrypt the boot partition, after reboot the OS won't start. If I start the drive directly with qemu, it works but it looks like Libvirt is somehow not able to deel with it. What am I missing? -- John Doe

recovering from deleted snapshot
I have an automatic process setup. It's still pretty new and obviously in need of better error handling because now I find myself in a bad state. I run snapshot-create-as across all my vms, then do zfs replication to the target backup system, then blockcommit everything. virsh snapshot-create-as --domain $vm snap --diskspec $DISK,file=$VMPREFIX/"$vm"-snap.qcow2 --disk-only --atomic
