DocumentTermMatrix - text minig
Hi All, I have a Data.frame that looks like that one below. I would like to do some text mining on it to possibly find some patterns between Opis, ACklasifikacija and Vodja. I looked over a tm package which loks promissing, more specifically DocumentTermMatrix or TermDocumentMatrix. But I can not figure out how to change my data from data.frame to Corpus or VCorpus. Display a warning message at a certain time ?
Hi, I'm currently installing a CentOS 5 desktop as a public internet access point. The machine shuts down every day automatically at 22:30. Is there a way I can display a message in GNOME at 22:15 warning the user that the machine will shutdown in 15 minutes ? Any suggestions ? Niki Kovacs

Slackware's 'explodepkg' equivalent for rpm?
Hi, Is there any 'explodepkg' equivalent for the rpm command? What I want is simply uncompress an RPM package to get the files directly, but I didn't find anything in rpm's manpage. Cheers, Niki Kovacs

Squid and HTTPS interception on CentOS 7 ?
Hi, I've been running Squid successfully on CentOS 7 (and before that on 6 and 5), and it's always been running nicely. I've been using it mostly as a transparent proxy filter in school networks. So far, I've only been able to filter HTTP. Do any of you do transparent HTTPS filtering ? Any suggestions, advice, caveats, do's and don'ts ? Cheers from the snowy South of

Markdown editor for CentOS 7?
...much for your advice! This is a real life-changer for me. I had to fiddle a couple hours with Node.js and tweaking Vim until Markdown was handled correctly, but now I have a really nice work environment for Markdown. https://pasteboard.co/f7IluMot.png Cheers from the sunny South of France, Niki Kovacs -- Microlinux - Solutions informatiques durables 7, place de l'?glise - 30730 Montpezat Web : http://www.microlinux.fr Mail : info at microlinux.fr T?l. : 04 66 63 10 32

Weird bug in 389 Directory Server : no spaces in admin console (CentOS 7)
...ownload/389-admin-console-2020.png So instead of "Standard branch for configuration information", I get "Standardbranchforconfigurationinformation", "Secure connection" reads "Secureconnection", etc. I tried to add a user in my directory, with "Nicolas Kovacs" in the "Common Name" field, but instead of "Nicolas Kovacs" I get "NicolasKovacs" and there is no way to add space between the first and the last name. Last year I made the same setup and even wrote a series of blog articles about 389 DS on CentOS 7, and everyth...

Picasa vs. native photo management apps
...th some very basic tools: GThumb, Nautilus, GIMP, and that's it. Are there some tasks one performs with Picasa that one can't perform with these native programs? Or is there some other well-made photo management software that you can recommend as a replacement for Picasa? Cheers, Niki Kovacs

Markdown editor for CentOS 7?
...uces random results with Markdown. Pages are correctly displayed on Github, but in order to see them, I have to push them to the server. Now I wonder if there's a good WYSIWYG editor for Markdown, or at least something where I can check locally what the page looks like. Any suggestions? System on time
Hi, To get my system on time, I usually issue these two commands: # ntpdate de.pool.ntp.org # hwclock -w And when I want this to be done on startup, I put the two lines in rc.local. I wonder if this is an orthodox way to do things. Or is there something more appropriate? Niki Kovacs

Remote identity management
...... The networks I'll have to deal with are 100% GNU/Linux (better: 100% CentOS). So my first question is: which solution is the "best" for such a configuration ? By "best" I mean some compromise between "easy" and "reliable". Any suggestions ? Niki Kovacs

GRUB and vga=788
...and have a better readability in console mode. However, I tried this on my minimal CentOS 5 install, and right after GRUB, the screen just blanks. I add that this (test) machine ran maybe a dozen other distros before, and the 'vga=788' line always did the trick. Any suggestions? Niki Kovacs -- Dyslexics have more fnu.

SquidAnalyzer: minor trouble building RPM
Hi, I'm using the SquidAnalyzer network analysis tool in combination with Squid. Up until now, I've been running Slackware Linux on my servers. I built a custom package that installs SquidAnalyzer to /var/www/vhosts/squidreport/html. Then I setup an Apache virtual host for SquidAnalyzer's pages. Since I'm migrating my servers from Slackware to CentOS, I'd like to build a
