Karmel Korn Kost
A follow-up to the telephone message I left for you today:
We just got the carmel corn, but can't recall if we've paid for it yet?
Have we? If not how much do we owe you?

Tremor maintenance
hi,
could someone please apply these to Tremor svn?
0001-update_symbols.patch
there are 3 public symbols in the headers, which are missing in the
linker script and thus marked as private again. This causes issues for
e.g. gstreamer (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616194).
0002-pkgconfig.patch
this adds a pkg config file
You probably also want to do something like

Framemaker 7.0 Is Alive
...Bad:
- There was an "Adobe Online internal error". I'm guessing that it won't
contact the mothership to download updates right now.
- When I open up the Help->About window, the program hung
- I ran through several other dialog box creating menu items and it also hung

Framemaker 7.0
....0. The
install appears to go off without a hitch aside from menubuilder problems,
but the application terminates before anything interesting happens. I tried
running as version win2k and win95, with and without dcom95.
Has anyone had any better success with Framemaker recently?
Thanks,

gps tags in vorbis comments
hi,
is there an official or semiofficial way to store gps location in vorbis
comments or any ogg file. mp4 and exif store at least:
- location name (e.g. London, UK)
- longitude (degree as double), latitude (degree as double), elevation
(meters) (these three according to WGS84)

Problem with lme using glht for multiple comparisons
Hi everyone,
I am new to R and have a question that relates to unplanned post-hoc comparisons using the multcomp package after a mixed effects model. I couldn't find the answer to it in the archive or in any manual.
I have a dataset in which several plants have been treated in a particular way and a continuous response variable has been measured depending on several leaves per plant. I am

understanding vorbis
hi,
I would like to understand better how vorbis works in detail and
studied the code more. I've already added some comments (tiny patch
attached) and wonder if this could be applied to svn.
Before I'd like to extend that patch. Right now I study
lib/envelope.c. The method _ve_amp() returns a combination of flags
1|2|4. 1 seems to indicate that some maximum has been exceeded and 2

conformance test suites (e.g vobis, theora)
hi,
does anzone know of a conformance testsuite e.g. for vorbis and theora
bitstreams. This would be nice to have when e.g. testing a dsp based
reimplementation.
Also a testsuite that does robustness testing on the ogg container format would
be nice. If none of these exist, wound't that be a good project for e.g. next GSoC?

slow xvideo with xgl and nvidia fx5200
hi,
I am using xgl on opensuse-10.2 with the latest driver from nvidia. I
generally works fine. The only issues is fullscreen xvideo. The way
the xvideo extension is implemented causes high cpu load in the opengl
driver.
CPU: AMD64 processors, speed 1800.21 MHz (estimated)
Counted CPU_CLK_UNHALTED events (Cycles outside of halt state) with a
unit mask
of 0x00 (No unit mask) count 100000

Slowness problems with Samba 3.0.1, Solaris, and Clearcase
...omain with security=domain.
We are seeing that initial authentication tends to be slow, and we
see log files of the sort of log.38.255.38.1 being created as it does
initial setup. Then after authenticating, these logs are closed and
we start seeing logs based on the hostname of the pc (i.e. log.kkostpc).
I had not noticed this type of logging before we started using
security=domain. In the past we used security=server, but had problems
and have since noticed the docs warning against using this. Is this
typical behavor when initially authenticating a connection? I'm concerned
about wh...
