Installing domU from ISO image file
I am trying to install CentOS from an ISO image file but the installer does
not see a CD-ROM drive. The VNC viewer works but the CentOS installer
indicates "Unable to find any devices of the type needed for this
installation type." Then it prompts with "[Select driver] [Use a driver
disk] [Back]". I have tried several variations of the "disk" paramater, all

PolyCom SoundPoint 300 and distinctive ring
I am looking for clues on how to configure distinctive ring for a PolyCom SoundPoint
300. Does ALERT_INFO apply? If so, how?
Thanks,

dovecot LDA: "temporary failure"
....but then I don't know what to expect.
The log files are owned by dovecot. I tried chmod'ing them to 777 in desperation.
This was working before the upgrade to 1.2.15-4 from 1.0.15-2.3+lenny1.
Postfix reports this stuff:

the domain directory and user directory, applying correct ownership, still it
made no difference. I checked my main.cf:

Any clues?
Thanks!

multiple namespaces, Mac OS X

listed under the inbox at the same level, and where all folders are listed
one level below the inbox. I don't really want to keep my "INBOX." prefix so
existing accounts remain unchanged. How do I solve this?
The current dovecot.conf is below.

two nics
...'' ]
vif = [ '''' ]
extra="3"
Since nics is deprecated, what takes it''s place?
BTW, my xend-config.sxp is updated from the new installation
and not modified. I can only see xenbr0 but not xenbr1. Before
it just worked.

phantom incomming calls from asterisk
About once a day I have noticed a phantom incoming call with a caller ID of asterisk@192.168..<cut off>. When I answer the call there is a dial tone and the call is disconnected. Any clues?

USB drive: Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8, 1)
I have several xen domu''s running in LVM partitions on the local hard
drive. I have added a USB drive and tried to boot a domu from it but
it failed. I assumed it was a SCSI device name conflict so I created
a LVM on the USB drive but there is still a kernel panic:

real time clock drift
This must be documented somewhare but I checked the Xen 3.0 manual and
the word "clock" doesn''t even exist in it. I checked the FAQ as well.
I am running Xen 3.0.1 and an AMD64 CPU. I found that DOMUs time clock
drifts ahead. I installed ntpdate and it reports to change the time but
it does not.
