Quadratic function-like call delay
Hi,
There is a quite annoying thing, don`t sure if I can call it a bug.
How to reproduce:
- start a bunch of VMs,
- stop libvirt,
- start libvirt and immediately issue any call, say, 'virsh version',
- delay until call completion may be fitted nearly as quadratic
function from number of running VMs, qemu-kvm in my case (see link
below). After this delay passed, any calls executed

Adding timestamps for all emulator output
Hello,
I think it would be useful if libvirt will be able to prefix all
messages from emulator pipes with the date stamping, for example I am
trying to catch very rare and non-fatal race with
virtio-serial-bus: Guest failure in adding device virtio-serial0.0
which is specific to the Windows guests on qemu-kvm. I have supporting
infrastructure which can tell me exact times for every action upon

libvirtd crashes after guest migration with attached console
Hi,
please see following backtrace. How to reproduce: start qemu guest
w/attached console, execute migration, get a crash at the end.
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

cpuset not affecting real pid placement
Hi,
At least on 0.10.2 setting a cpuset doesn`t match a real process
placement - VM still consumes all available cores.
VM config:
.snip.
<vcpu placement='static' cpuset='0-5,12-17'>12</vcpu>
.snip.
for cpuset in $(find /cgroup/cpuset/libvirt/qemu/vmid/ -name
cpuset.cpus) ; do grep 0-5 $cpuset ; done
got: empty responce, e.g. 0-23 in my setup

virtio-serial port that listens tcp socket on host
Hello. Is that possible to create virtio-serial port that on host listens
tcp socket and how to avoid duplicate listened ports in case of migration?

Migration with rbd storage backend
Hi,
Seems that such migration is currently broken, at least for
0.9.11|0.9.12, with 0.9.8 all works fine:

How can a bridge be optimized?
Hi,
Netperf tells me that a KVM VM using a bridged connection to a system across
the Gigabit LAN sees on average about 1/10th of the bandwidth the host sees.
This is on very lightly loaded hosts, although with multiple low-use VMs.
I've tried adjusting the CPU throttling after seeing that mentioned as a
possible factor in slowing down a bridge, but it has not much if any effect
here.

live migration taking forever
Hey folks,
I am running libvirt 1.2.4 and qemu 2.1 on a 3.14.27 kernel. I've found
that live migrating a relatively large VM (16 cores and 64G ram) is taking
forever - close to 15 hours now, and still not done...
With "lsof -i", I can see a connection is established from my source
hypervisor to a target hypervisor, likely for the purpose of copying data.
nettop shows that this
