Deliver - Virtual users
...s that do not exist in LDAP or locally to be rejected. Mail is delivered to users even though they are over quota. Below I have included a bit of my log. This is what I see when sending a mail to an existing user. I don't understand the part that says: dovecot: auth(default): passwd(tbp at kontrapunkt.dk): lookup In my database users are stored as usernames without domains. Deliver seems to lookup the name with domain? The lookup ends with "unknown user". Then I wonder, why is the mail delivered if the user is unknown? I have included the "protocol lda" part from my dovec...

APC Smart-UPS 3000XL: Compatible/Any good?
Hello list. I'm contemplating buying new batteries and putting an older APC Smart-UPS 3000XL back into service. Would that work well with NUT? Any drawbacks to consider? Thank you, Tobias -- Tobias Balle-Petersen Kontrapunkt Group / System Administrator

NUT 2.0.4-4 - Debian stable - /etc/killpower not created?
Hello.... I'm testing the functionality of my NUT-setup (NUT 2.0.4-4 - Debian stable). The system is connected to the UPS, but is not powered by it. When running "upsmon -c fsd", upsmon says "Auto logout and shutdown proceeding". This is all well and good, but I never see the machine waiting for the UPS to cut the power. Instead it shuts down. It's my

PW9120 - Shutdown condition?
Hello. I have a PW9120 hooked up via a serial cable running NUT 2.0.4. When running upsc I cant see any parameter that looks like it would trigger a shutdown. Theres is nothing like "battery.charge.low: 30" or "battery.charge.warning: 30". I get: ambient.temperature battery.(charge|runtime|voltage) driver.(misc) input.(misc) output.(misc)

Automatic restart if power is restored after automatic shutdown?
Hello.... I'm wondering what happens in this scenario: There is a power failure. UPS supports machines for some time. NUT tells all machines to shutdown. Power is restored after machines have shut down but before UPS battery runs out. The power is thus never lost but the machines were shut down. Will the machines power back up (They do start up after a power failure)? Thanks, Tobias

Editing sieve scripts via webmail?
Hello... I have dovecot 1.0.10 running with the sieve plugin and virtual users (LDAP). My webmail is squirrelmail. I want to allow the users to create sieve-scripts via a squirrelmail-plugin. The plugins seems to require that the IMAP-server is cyrus. What are the options for dovecot? Thanks, Tobias

1.0.10 - Can deliver get quotas from users maildirsize?
Hello... I'm experimenting with controlling users quota by manipulation the maildirsize files in virtual users (LDAP) homedirs (Is this OK?). This works with IMAP, but deliver via postfix delivers mail to users even if they are over quota. I would like to reject new mails in this case. Any ideas? Thanks, Tobias

IMAP quotas - Reasonable size?
Hello... I'm setting up dovecot (IMAP only) at an ad-agency (Lots of big files attached to mails). I'm wondering... What would you consider to be reasonable mail quota? My concern is, that some client-software will have problems with huge mailboxes. I was going to give everyone 2GB, but some users demand 15GB+. Does dovecot "prefer" mailboxes within a certain size? Vacation: Missing file .dovecot.lda-dupes ?
Hello.... I'm using the vacation feature, but the vacation reply is sent when ever a mail is received. What I want is, that the reply should only be sent one time to each user. My understanding is, that a list of people who have received the vacation message should be stored in the file .dovecot.lda-dupes in the users folder. This file is not present in my users fould. I have tried
