Is it possible to konfigure a passwordless authentifikation in kombination

server2 wants to replicate a foler from server1 to himself.

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of
your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition
live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out.
The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am
quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate

Samba 3.0.24 + LDAP - User Lockout not working
Hi,
im trying to setup a password policy with samba and openldap. while
lockout works perfect on openldap it looks like it does not work with my
samba.
Ive set "sambaLockoutThreshold" to 3 and "sambaLockoutDuration" to -1
(lockout forever) within the Domain-Object in LDAP. So i expect whenever
a windows user does 3 false logon attemps his samba account will be

DNS entry for resolving the DC
We already "solved" this by using the long form of the domain name, but
I want to learn if we should do something additional:
We had a mixed setup in the field, some PCs had a WINS server
configured, some not. We removed the WINS info from DHCP and saw no new
problems (we wanted to have things the same way on all clients).
Yesterday the local admin tried to join a new PC and entered

Access to shares is denied after upgrading from 3.6.3 (openSUSE 12.1) to 4.1.17 (openSUSE 13.2)
Hi,
please have a look into the attached smb.conf. The only changes since 3.6.3 are commenting out all *security* settings and adding
winbind expand groups = 1
The attached smbusers hasn't been changed yet.
When I try to access share \\platon\root<file:///\\platon\root> as fee\administrator I get the following:
platon:~ # smbclient -c dir -W fee -U administrator%secret

Ok that looks good.
Ont to try on the pc your testing.
Disable ipv6 ( just remove the checkmark dont remove it. ) from the network adapter.
*( optional : http://www.bvanleeuwen.nl/faq/?p=1142 ipv6 admx template. )
I have a setup with this admx, i completely disabled ipv6 in my lan.
And as Rowland also is telling..
Dns domain = foo
Realm = FOO
Workgroup = FOO

The docs say that libvirtd has to listen on the TCP port ... checked that:

Perhaps someone can help this poor soul out? I don't *think* it was
just spam to webmaster, but it's hard to tell through the [lack of
coherent] grammar.

[Bridge] 2.6.11/10 (and probably others), usbnet + bridge => massive memory corruption
Hi all,
Well, I've been trying to set up Debian on an OpenZaurus bootstrap..
well, there were some complications after I enabled bridging between
usbnet and via_rhine ethernet,
My set up includes,
1. Network interface setup using usbnet
2. Bridge eth0+usb0=>main (bridge name)
3. bootstrap Debian on an NFS volume.
There are no lost pockets or any type of kernel oops. I can produce a

Problems with SUN StoreEdge T3
Hello,
We?ve got two nodes connected to a SUN T3 over SCSI.
We encountered some strange behaviour after mounting.
As soon as the second node gets mounted every os command regarding that partition needs about 10 sec. to success.
e.g. ls or cd.
Furthermore we?re not able to see files on node 2 which have been recently created on node1 or vice versa. After a remount on node2
