'libRblas.so' missing in R 2.12.1
...f R (2.12.1) and noticed that 'libRblas.so' is missing in the '/x86_64/src/extra/blas' subdirectory of my R-installation. Did I miss ongoing discussions on the Mailinglist about this or might it be a local problem? Thanks for this brilliant software. warnings although R CMD check runs without any problem
...mmand. My question now is: why are there still warnings even though the check has been passed without any problems? Generally speaking, would it be possible to submit this package e.g. to the Bioconductor project, even if these warnings still exist? Thanks in advance, Christian -- Christian Kohler Institute of Functional Genomics Computational Diagnostics University of Regensburg D-93147 Regensburg (Germany)

how to obtain the CPU time of my program
Dear R users and experts, I am current running a program (a series of commands) in R. such as: A <- as.matrix(read.table("C:/LP.txt")); a=which(memb==q); b=a; B=as.matrix(A[a,b]) LS=sum(B)/2; TL=sum(A)/2 i<-c(1:NN); D=sum(A[a,i]); how can i obtain the CPU time used for these commands ? I have seen the system.time function but i am not sure how to use it. Could anyone help

S4 slot with NA default
Hi How do I specify an S4 class with a slot that is potentially numeric, but NA by default? I want the slot to be NA until I calculate its value (an expensive operation, not needed for all applications). When its value is known, I will create a new object with the correct value inserted in the slot. I want "NA" to signify "not known". My attempt fails because

vorbis-tools release soon?
Since it's been almost 2 years since vorbis-tools 1.2.0 was released, would it be reasonable to see 1.3.0 soon? There are plenty of changes in there that deserve to see the light of day - the ReplayGain support in ogg123 and the vcut fixes in particular have my attention.

adding directory contents to ogg123 playing in sorted order?
Would a patch to ogg123 for using scandir(3) and alphasort(3) instead of opendir(3) and readdir(3) in playlist_append_directory() be accepted, or are those not sufficiently portable? On Linux, _SVID_SOURCE or _BSD_SOURCE is required to use them. This shouldn't be hard to implement and I'd like very much to have directories added to the playlist in sorted order.

ogginfo writes errors to stdout
The ogginfo tool writes its errors to stdout instead of stderr. Shouldn't that change? (Warnings also go to stdout, but that's more of a gray area.) The other vorbis-tools don't have this problem, with the possible exception of vcut, which writes the usage message to stdout, another edge case.

Synthesize low batt (LB) fron SNMP UPS which doesnot support this?
...more than startup lags, 5 or 8 seconds. Because we have central air, I bought the biggest generac, 20kw, nat gas powered version about 13 years back, but generac hasn't answered the phone in 3 or 4 years, & the controller died a few months back so the label got changed from generac to kohler, same 20kw rating. So I have more than $10k usd in it now, but you should be able to src a smaller one if the AC is not in the picture for quite a bit less. I've had several multiday outages here, plus the 15 minute weekly test so the generac still has the synth oil I put in it to assure...

Question on simultaneous IPv4 and IPv6 "any address" listening
Cheers all, TL;DR version: I've recently found that at least on my test box the `LISTEN *` line had only set up an IPv4 `0.0.0.0` listener but not an IPv6 `::0` listener for `upsd`. In fact, at least on a "dual-stack" system, it seems impossible to bind to both - so depending on binding order I either lose IPv6 or lose IPv4 directly (but have it practically as IPv4-over-IPv6).
