'max_four_gig' parameter to normalize to 4GB
Hi, at first sorry for my bad english... I'm working on a little samba package for a routing projekt: www.fli4l.de This is a router, which runs from a single floppy. For easier use of printing functions for Win-Clients and for simple shares my package comes with Samba, with an very old version (1.9.18p10). I need this old version because she is very small and fits on the floppy. New

2.2.7 and printer status
Hallo Samba-Team, thank you for 2.2.7. The only problem I found is an old one: status of printers served from samba on Windows 2000 I'll try to explain this so clear as possible: If I have a Windows user "Administrator", which is in Windows administrative group "Administratoren" and this user is on Samba-side *mapped* to "root" --> printer status is *ok*.

2.2.9pre1 cvs - home shares not visible?
Hi, with 2.2.9pre1 from cvs (ftp://pserver.samba.org/pub/unpacked/samba_2_2 - downloaded on 14. Sep 2003) the special [homes]- section is broken. The shares with names of the users are not visible anymore (access is granted). Switching back to 2.2.8a with the same smb.conf and all is fine. Client is WinXPPro. smb.conf: [global] workgroup = TOMMAIK serverstring = interfaces =

Hi @all, sorry for the repost but there was no answer and this is very important for me and the users of fli4l. > Hi, > > at first sorry for my bad english... > > I'm working on a little samba package for a routing projekt: > > www.fli4l.de > > This is a router, which runs from a single floppy. 2.2.5, xp and incorrect logon drive as root
Hi @all, I set up 2.2.5 as PDC. With an XP-Client and log on as an simular user as root (I'm mapping "Administrator" to root in /etc/user.map) the logon home directory is the share "root". What is the reason for that? Is "root" a not usable name for a share? configure-options: ./configure \ --host=i486-pc-linux-gnu \ --target=i486-pc-linux-gnu \ --prefix=/usr \

not enough charcters available in %J or confusing blanks?
Hi, I try to create PDF files with an modified script from Buchan Milne and have some problems with the Jobname var %J. Because it is better for the users to find an file with an similar name as the original document I'm looking for a way to read out %J, cut some unnessasary stuff and use the rest as new file name. The problem is: In %J in some circumstances is not the complete Jobname as
