Flac files with internal cue sheets
I wrote a somewhat quick and dirty player for flac files with internal cue sheets. It is curses-based, and I've tested it under linux and cygwin. It uses OSS for audio output. Reply or contact me if you would like the source. Neal -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... problem with "winbind separator = \"
Hello, I just rebuilt the samba server that I was working on and when I try to add the line "winbind separator = \", testparm tells me that its value must be 1 character and then displays its value as the proceeding line. If I change the value to '+', it tells me that the value might cause a problem with groups memberships. If I just leave the value at '/' then it does

Problem with odbc connector with cdr
...problem presented itself as an error when making a call that was supposed to be stored in mysql cdr: Unable to retrieve database handle. CDR failed. This kept popping up every time I was trying to have a call be stored in my mysql cdr table, and I traced the problem to the odbc connector, where my knowhow is about to end. One problem may be that odbcinst -j outputs wrong ini files, I believe I need these to be under /etc/ instead of /usr/local/etc/, but I'm unsure about how to change those permanently. # odbcinst -j unixODBC 2.3.2 DRIVERS............: /usr/local/etc/odbcinst.ini SYSTEM DATA SO...

[patch] allow the transfer keys from app_dial's't' and 'T' and hangup key 'H' to be configured via features.conf
Wow, you guys are fast. My apologies, twisted. I realize there must have been a reason why it wasn't marked "resolved" and included in the CVS HEAD, but I was under the impression that those who wanted to and have the knowhow could download and apply the patch. Didn't mean to imply you or anyone else *stated* that it was finished, it just seemed from the dialog in the bug report that work on it had been completed and just not marked as such. My mistake. It will be great when it is done whenever that happens since...

imap fails, policy wrong?
up until a week or so ago, I had no problem using IMAP logging into a server running Fedora Core (I think 4 or 5 ) with dovecot 1.0. Had used squirrelmail and other mail agents using IMAP with no problem. as of 2 days ago, I get a squirrelmail error "ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server. Query: CAPABILITY" and turning on dovecot debugging shows the following:

Did work home server software ethernet hardware and wine
Hi friends, sorry for my english, it's school knowhow! I'll build a backup server in the moment. The next will be to upgrade the backup server to the home server, because the server works nearly 24h per day and 7 days per week. I found a excellent hardware gate (ethernet connection) between home server software and the adapted hardware now. The...

Wanted: Ogg Stations Directory
..."Radio Tuner" directory with hundreds of stations. In my opinion what we (the Ogg Vorbis) community needs is a friendly web directory of all stations. It could be either managed by the owner or via automatic submissions. So, I've verbalized an idea but I don't have the time or knowhow to do it myself, so any takers? I'm sure all streamers will want to be listed. I can provide a few links I've collected. ...device is wired. A hoped its possible to configure a second xorg-server or a fakedevice/-monitor that kde recognize this and you could use this as second desktop in same way as in dualscreen-modus. So i ask a lot of people the last days and ok, maybe tis solution seems unavailable without deeper knowhow. Thank you all. Asterisk with the underlying structure of PC hardware and open source operating system has a big advantage here. Also system and network-administrators with Linux or BSD knowhow are a common must-have for many companies so we don't suffer any disadvantage here. I am CIO of a small company (~80 phones) where the actual PBX has reached its limits. We decided against Asterisk because of the two 'reliability' points. PC Hardware fails. Community request - can someone show me REST?
.... does http://myapp/category/1 just display a list of posts in that category? This may go unnoticed, I''m not sure. I already tried to start this on my own so I could figure it out...but I got stuck very early on. I''d find that example app very illuminating. If someone with the knowhow could take the time to do this, I''d be very appreciate, as would many others I''m sure. Pat
