Need Help: Sometimes Stop during smbd start
Hi during Startup of SuSE-Linux 7.2 Prof. the PC is sometimes ( 1 of 10 times) stopping by start smbd. Reset knop the help only. I have this problem with the samba version in SuSE package and version 2.2.5 too. In the file ../rc3.d/S12smb I added 2 lines to see if nmbd and smbd are startet. I see nmbd is starting always, the text "SAMBA smbd gestartet" is in case of fault not printing. Do you know th...

rename network card device /dev/p3p2 to /dev/eth0
Hello, My name is Manfred. I have to install a flexlm license server on a pc with centos 6.3 as operating system. This machine contains two network cards. An Ethernet card and a wifi card. For the Ethernet card centos generates a device called p3p2. For the wifi card centos generates a device called wlan0. In this configuration the flexlm license program called lmgrd only got the mac address of

PreBeta4/First Results
Hi there, I encoded the hard to encode piece ":wumpscut: - mother" with the new prebeta4 encoder (windows). As I crashed my harddrive I've to reinstall linsuxx again and double check the results, maybe there's a difference between the platforms (as far as I remember there was such a thing before). This song is pretty good for fast listening-tests as there are plenty of

Samba-4.3.11 Roaming profiles on FreeBSD10.3
I am unable to get roaming profiles to work. I have turned on debugging and I believe that I have narrowed down where in the log file the problem is reported. However, I do not possess the knowledge necessary to understand what is going on. The situation is that assigning a new user the profile: //DC/PROFILES/%USERNAME% does not produce anything on the DC's filesystem. However, using the

Linux distribution targeted at 32-bit hardware

AFAIK jessie supports i586, so if Pentium is old enough for you you're good to go for likely at least two more years. After that I guess I'd be using old unsupported Debians for the ancient ones. I don't have this old hw on the

Final Post/Lack of support
Hi, I went to the official xiph channel on IRC (openprojects) to try once more to get some support for the *.ogm stuff we did. I think there still is and always will be the need for this extension, out of _well_ known reasons. I was in a bad mood for all the stuff which happened the last months regarding the ogg container being called ogm to indicate that this isn't meant for a music
