knockd rpm for CentOS-5.4
Is there a recommended knockd package for CentOS-5.4 or do I just
pull from the project's web site?

Centos as Gateway ? (Router/transparent proxy)

Centos will contain the following:
1. DHCP # is there a way i could use the modem's dhcp service
instead? or using a centos based dhcp service is better?
2. Samba # sharing files for lan users
3. Squid
4. clamav
5. OpenRadius # wifi authentication
6. knockd service (anyone tried it? i read about this service a few
weeks ago and am wondering if it's worth giving it a shot... for public
access to the server )
6. Things which are needed :
a. Ability to separate Wireless router from LAN. (thinking
of vlans though as i have a dumb...

coming in over the LAN.
I have the following rules in /etc/sysconfig/iptables:

-A GENERAL -m comment ! -i bridge0 -j ACCEPT
. . .
-A GENERAL -m comment -m state -i bridge0 --state NEW -j KNOCKD
-A GENERAL -p tcp -m comment -m tcp -m multiport -m state -m recent
-i bridge0 --state NEW --dports 20,21,22,23,110,143 --set --name
IN_THROTTLE --rsource
and so forth. But when I reload the config file and do an iptables
--list | grep bridge then I see nothing. I cannot discern what it is
that...

Virus Detector ?
Hi Tom,
I´m very glad using Shorewall
I proud to say that use it in my whole network (215 Real IP´s over ProxyArp)
I can filter everyone have mac-control of then etc etc.
Well I´m like a child playing with it :)
But now, have a question there is any way to filter or use an Anti-virus in this network ?
To drop packets with virus ?? To scan HTTP request ?? Or maybe use Dansguardian ?
