How can I tell llvm, that a branch is preferred ?
If I read the llvm language correctly, it doesn't have a way to specify
the preferred branch, correct ? I see nothing in the specs for "branch"
or "switch". And __buildin_expect does nothing, that I am sure of.
Unfortunately llvm has this knack for ordering my one most crucial part
of code exactly the opposite I want to, it does: (x86_64)
cmpq %r15, (%rax,%rdx)
jne LBB0_3
Ltmp18:
leaq 8(%rax,%rdx), %rcx
jmp LBB0_4
LBB0_3:
addq $8, %rcx
LBB0_4:
when I want,
cmpq %r15, (%rax,%rdx)
jeq LBB0_3
addq $8, %rcx
jmp LBB0_4
LBB0_3:...

RWiki, tcltk and plot
I think I - almost - got the knack for GUI programming using the
tcltk library. Maybe I will update the RWiki with this:
#
#################################################
#
library(tcltk)
#
# Create some matrix - nothing about tcltk here
#
matrix <- cbind(rnorm(100), rpois(100, lambda=10),
runif(100), rt(100, df=2), rt(10...

...strong academic and industry track record in statistical
computing for technical sales, consulting and development roles. These
positions are based out of our growing New Haven, CT and Seattle, WA
offices.
If you have a data analysis background and have been using R for some
time, and also have a knack for demonstrating the benefits of
performing real-world statistical and data analysis in R to others,
you'd be a great addition to our pre-sales and consulting team.
For those of a more technical bent, we are also looking to expand our

accessing database model from generator?
i''m writing my own generator :) basically a custom scaffolding type
thing to make my life easier when creating new resources.
instead of doing something like script/generate custom_scaffold
MyResource name:string description:string ... i decided to store all
the metadata about the tables and fields in the db.
my generator creates the model stub files when given a name that

Pegasus Mail sometimes says no HD-memory free, but that's not true
Hello together,
I use the localized Pegasus Mail version 4.21c. Sometimes, only during receiving
mails, I'll get an error message (dialog) that on the drive is currently only very few
memory available. But that's not true, on the drive are many GB free. I have it also
tested with another windows application (Total Commander), it also shows me the
correct amount of free space.

[OT] Wifi SIP phones - LinkSys WIP330
Hi List,
Hope everyone is recovering from the festive season :) (ok we still have
new years i guess!)
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has had any successful dealings with
WiFi phones and operation with '*' at all?
I've been keeping my eye on the LinkSys WIP330 (
http://preview.tinyurl.com/nccxn ) and wondered your collective thoughts?
Would I be correct in thinking that (as

Header files
I will probably be sending patches for about 30 header files. I have
put some TODO: notices in some of the header files where I''ve had to
temporarily remove some things. How do you guys want these? A .zip of
all the changed files? A .zip of all the patches? Individual e-mails?
All attached to one?

SSH attacks from china
Okay, I have a server connected to the net but have not added fail2ban or
anything on top of my firewall yet.
Thought you guys might get a kick out of this one user, ip is from china,
who has got a heck of a knack for making assumptions on possible usernames.
Enjoy this..., 8000+ attempts. Scroll down for funky ones. I have no root
access enabled on this server and it is pretty bare. Just using it as a
collector of banable ips right now and it is doing a good job.
But some of these are quite interesting wh...

Thanks, good bye, and an observation from a newbie.
CentOS mailing list,
Thank you all for answering my questions and being so supportive over
the last few months as I was running CentOS on my home machine.
I have switched over to Ubuntu, and I will be devoting my learning
efforts to that distribution from this point on. However, while I'm sure
a new distribution will have the inevitable learning curve, a lot of the
tips and tricks I
