...change the result). This suggests the problem has to do with the rest of the G-structure code: I've set `V = diag(2)` because there are two random effects. I can't come up with any other rationale, despite having scoured the internet for additional help. Thanks, Michelle -- Michelle A. Centos and Software RAID
I purchased an Intel D945GNT motherboard and it comes in the BIOS with an option to create a RAID 0 or RAID 1 volumes using my existing two SATA disks. However when installing Centos 4.3 x86_64 I see the the installer recognices the two drives and does not "see" the RAID 0. Is that ok? Should I disable the RAID in the BIOS and then go for a LVM+RAID 0 setup in the installer ? Since it

For you old-timers, an RS232 question about data rate confirmation.
Hello all. This is a question that I should be able to answer, but the old grey cells aren't working. My Google-Fu must not be up to snuff, either. I have a MOXA IP-RS232 converter that I'm going to be using over an RF WAN and I need to confirm the actual data rate that I'll be able to achieve. I have the drivers loaded (/dev/ttyr00) and a loopback plug on the end of the device. I

It's a Xeon processor, 1.5Gb RAM, hardware RAID controller running CentOS 3 The system will will sometimes run for a couple of weeks, then simply lock up -- nothing on the console, no response to pings, no "caps-lock" lights, no kernel panic indicators, nothing in the logs to

PostgreSQL & SELinux problem
Hi. I just installed Centos 4. I''m pretty sure that I chose to have it install postgresql but when the system came up, it wasn''t there. No worries. I installed it from the net with ''yum''. Unfortunately, when I started it up and it tried to init the database, I got a bunch of SELinux errors: Mar 3 13:24:22 dirty kernel: audit(1109874262.006:0): avc:

Who has the clever Polycom upgrade system?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I remember someone wrote a great document concerning Polycom server provisioning that provided a way to ensure that updates to the firmware did not overwrite customizations. Effect sizes
I'm just curious . . . if effect sizes are so important, and possibly a better way of looking at results than p-values, since they don't depend on effect size (Kline,2004; Murphy and Myors, 2004), why don't any of the classical tests, like t.test or glht specified for Tukey's posthocs, return effect sizes? I say "classical" because I'm sure there may be packages out there, not in the base program, which do return effect sizes, but do they...

The flow looks like this: (CALLER)INBOUND_PRI --> CONTEXT --> GOSUB(Incoming) --> GOSUB(bridge-to-anssrv) --> DIAL(answering_service) --> OUTBOUND_PRI(service) This has been working

Read only nfsroot and diskless booting CentOS 6?
Does anyone have any good how-to's or documentation on setting up read only root NFS for pxe booting diskless computers? A few months ago I stumbled upon an official Redhat doc through a google search(not hosted by redhat and I cannot find it anywhere on the Redhat site) written by Dave Kline named "Configuring diskless clients with Red Hat Enterprise Linux" from 2011. It seemed to be a work in progress but the steps in it did work for doing nfsroot for one diskless client only. It did not have any explanation for doing read only nfsroot or how to deal with /var for multiple s...
