lwIP hangs with gpxelinux.0 on qemu (-net user)
Has anyone played with the syslinux/lwip.git tree? It works fine with pxelinux: qemu -boot n -net nic -net user,bootfile=/pxelinux.0,tftp=/pxe (although it hangs while trying to resolve www3.kernel.org because of the lack of proper DNS with -net user) The same command hangs earlier with gpxelinux.0 though: Getting cached packet 01 pxe_call op 0071 data 0x00012518 -- Pierre-Alexandre

Enable debug messages for gpxelinux.0
All, For several days, I've been trying to debug an issue booting a Windows 7 machine over iscsi (utilizing gpxelinux.0 and sanboot.c32). ? ??? - I can get it to function OK utilizing plain gPXE (so I know my iscsi config is OK and also the iscsi drive is OK). ??? - When utilizing gpxelinux, the system shows that the iscsi drive is mounting and trying to boot. However, at that point the

...arking all areas that currently available above a certain address as reserved. This resolved a user issue with a particular old application that failed when too much memory was available. Branch gpxelinux-kpxe-for-hpa adds a new target of gpxelinuxk.0 which uses undionly.kpxe rather than undionly.kkpxe with an accompanying new script. Branch memdiskdbg-for-sha0 expands on Shao Miller's additional disk probe checks and disk probe debugging display. This resolved an issue with a particular line of laptops whose output was mildly contrary to expected output. This should hopefully contain enou...

1 model out of a dozen hangs at "loading boot sector... booting..."
Hello, I am new to this list. We are trying to move away from our WDS server with PXElinux mods and are testing using iPXE on a linux box only. We mainly use HP but also have Dells, Panasonic, and Lenovo. On almost a dozen models tested now, everything works great. These were mostly laptops but a Dell Optiplex 360 and 380 booted fine. So far we have just had a problem with the HP 6005 Pro SFF

Syslinux-5.10-pre1
Folks, I've just released the first prelease for the 5.10 series. The intention is to leave 5.02-pre3 where it is and move to 5.10-pre1. The only difference between 5.02-pre3 and 5.10-pre1 is the merge of the lwip branch (and a single commit to fixup the -DDEBUG=2 build), which warranted a bump in the version minor number. See the shortlog below for details of the differences between

pxechn.c32: passing options to iPXE
...e), a Lenovo > ThinkPad T510 and a Dell Latitude E6530. Ok. Is there any scenario for which you'd expect this to work? Anything to test that your expected behavior is observed? Should using option 67 work like this? Would it work with option 209("-c")? Have you tried undionly.kkpxe or undionly.kkkpxe? Obviously once gPXE/iPXE does its own DHCP, it should use 67 like this. To get the behavior you desire, you may need a custom undionly.*pxe with a custom script to fetch a script based on 67. --Gene

How to support iSCSI multipath...
Hi Bootmeisters, I am using gpxelinux.0 + sanboot.c32 to boot a diskless machine into Linux. I would like to use device-mapper-multipath to provide fault tolerant access to its root disk. Although I am able to do this by hardcoding the additional paths in the initrd, it would be better if the bootloader could pass the information in the iBFT (iSCSI Boot Firmware Table). However, at the
