Marco, I have some preliminary HowTos and software available at http://quasi.ksl.com/icecast/ It's not as nice as http://www.6809.org.uk/kja3/ices2-howto.shtml, but I'm working to make it better as I become more familiar. ...using icecast 1.x, ices 0.2.3 won't do what you want. It doesn't have soundcard input. I use darkice for this, others use liveice (which I never got to work) and one or two other solutions. I did a lot of googling and couldn't find any docs other then icecast/ices docs, that are included in the source packages. Are there any other docs that i should read? Hi This poses a different question icecast 1.X is the one I see at icecast.org icecast2 - is this available as alph ?? and is this better to install now that 1.X as I did not see this on the site I have icecast 1.x running on a test box but setting up an new box with icecast on and wondering if its better to go with V2 and wondaring how stable etc it is - relay just want somting that works :-)

Hi there. I had a look at how icecast 2 works after having been pleased by how icecast 1 worked. I succesfully made it work on a debian woody (for those interested at how i did it http://melmoth.dyndns.org/stream/ It's in french yet). I was however disapointed a bit by not finding the admin console I used to find in icecast 1. So, several questions: is this admin console planned to be
