Problem using virt-sysprep with RBD images
Hello,
I'm having a problem when trying to use virt-sysprep against vms that have
rbd disk images. When I run virt-sysprep I get the following error:
>> root@kitt:~/libguestfs-1.22.4# virt-sysprep -d server-clone-test
--firstboot firstboot.sh
>> Examining the guest ...
>> Fatal error: exception Guestfs.Error("rbd: image name must begin with a

Installing Wine for Debian Squeeze
Hi,
I tried to install Wine following this instruction:
http://www.winehq.org/download/deblenny, method 1.
These instructions are in German.
This gives me access to Wine 1.1.42 in 32-bit.
According to the WineHQ homepage, 1.2 is the last stable. My system is 64-bit. I should be able to select between 1.2 and 1.3.
So my guess is that this instruction is outdated, that that repository is not

parsing - input buffer overflow
...variable (an object) if the text is
too large.
This problem has been mentioned before, which I found using the RSiteSearch.
However, the post is from 2006, and I thought it might have improved by now.
Is there any way to increase the limit or to get around this problem?

Re: Problem using virt-sysprep with RBD images
Hello Richard,
Thanks for the reply.
Indeed this behaviour exists in 1.25.6.
Grepping through the source [1], there are a number of files in
"./po/*.po[t]?" that contain this message, but I think it's ./src/drives.c
where the fail condition is actually detected / set.
On line 300 there is an if statement that checks the first character is a
slash:

weighted averages for two variables
Hi R users,
I have a dataset with multiple variables and i'm trying to weigh average
depths for fish species per year by their abundance (CPUE. I have tried the
weighted.mean function but as i have two columns for the x value the lenghts
differ with the w (CPUE). How do I solve this problem?
So far I have tried this:
data<-by(allspecies, list(allspecies$Depth, allspecies$Year),

Lastest upgrade of smb on RedHat doesn't work
The latest upgrade of from samba 3.0.9 to samba 3.0.10 has caused
problems on my samba server.
On the Windows computers you can no longer see the WINS server ( the
RedHat server) in the Network Neighborhood, say server1. The
printers that we have added through the network neighborhood no
longer work.
One has to search for the full name of the server
( server1.xxx.xxx.edu) with the
