Hi, I tried to install Wine following this instruction: http://www.winehq.org/download/deblenny, method 1. These instructions are in German. This gives me access to Wine 1.1.42 in 32-bit. According to the WineHQ homepage, 1.2 is the last stable. My system is 64-bit. I should be able to select between 1.2 and 1.3.
