subset drop unused levels
hi there
tried to use subset with drop=TRUE, but all the 'old' levels are preserved,
i.e. when calling e.g. ftable a lot of zeros are displayed
>x<-subset(LREG, (kir=='AA' | kir=='BB') & (type=='t1' | otype=='t2'),
drop=TRUE, select=c(event, kir, type))
> ftable(x)

IAX tollfree extension conf
Hi,
I recall seeing a sample extensions.conf file that allowed tollfree
calls to be routed via iaxtel to the US and the NL, but I must be going
blind, because I've scoured the list but can't find it. Can someone
send it to me if they have it? Much appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone know how to get rid of this warning message?
Hi,
I searched the archives about this, but didn't find any references.
When I make an outbound SIP call, the call completes and everything is
fine, but in the Asterisk console, I keep getting a huge stream of
warning messages:
"WARNING[1200876848]: File dsp.c, Line 1107 (ast_dsp_process): Unable
to detect process 2 frames"
I thought I saw this in a post earlier, but I

behaviour of ssh/scp over flakey links - timeout/retry?
I'm using OpenSSH's ssh and scp to back up some remote
machines, roughly as follows :
ssh remote-host "tar up a few dirs"
scp remote-host:tarfile local-repository
On the whole, as I'd expect, this works just fine.
But .. sometimes the link is a bit dodgey (for lack of
a more explicit term, this being a polite list :) )
Can anyone tell me how ssh and scp timeout and retry,

Problems with userdb and mail deliveribility
...or anyone who wants to help. I was in a hotel room when I
started and now on Amtrak train with connections fading in and out.
Someone shared some of their configs, but I still confused.
I may just scrap what Ie done and start fresh.
Would if be helpful if I followed up with each file inline
I was kirring then 40kb limit.
Thanks,

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #520 - 9 msgs
Hi,
Does anyone know the difference between RFC2543 and RFC3261? They are
both SIP, but apparently incompatible. We are testing some hardware
devices that support RFC3261 and it appears Asterisk is supporting
RFC2543 and not completely compatible with RFC3261 (see below). Does
anyone know how to configure Asterisk so it can do what is missing?

SMBFS: NLS support for kernel 2.4.0-test6
Hello. It's a thing which all Russia and, I think, many other
countries need.
Patch allow you to specify smb server and local IO charsets.
Two new options added to smbmount: iocharset=<charset> and
servercharset=<charset>.
They'll passed to kernel and proc.c module makes NLS conversion if need.
Patches in attachment.

namespace delivery question
Hi list,
I like to have public mailboxes in addition to other private in the same
domain, and manage the public mailbox permissions through acls.
For example:
info at domain.com <- public, readable by user2
user1 at domain.com <- private
user2 at domain.com <- private
The mailboxes are virtual, authentication through pam (kerberos).
The public mailbox doesn't have valid kerberos

Please help -- Syntax for dialing VoIP provider
Hi
thanks to everybody who responded to my earlier post. I have looked at
all the material and links provided and tried everything in there, but
it simply won't work for me.
My SIP phones register with Asterisk, but they cannot be called
(everybody is busy at this time) nor can they call anything (error code
4, whatever that means) not even internal (yes I did give them

Asterisk native sounds now available!
Hello everyone,
As I promised at eTel last week, I have finished up work on my
"Asterisk Native Sounds" project. Here's a little diddy from astlinux.org:
-----------------------------------
Asterisk Native Sounds are a collection of audio prompts for Asterisk.
They will improve quality, reduce CPU usage, reduce latency, and (in
some cases) eliminate the need for G729

[PATCHv2 01/10] drm/nouveau: Fix a lock up at NVSetOwner with nv11.
It seems it was only locking up in the context of
nouveau_hw_save_vga_fonts, when it actually did something (because
the console wasn't already in graphics mode).

[PATCH 00/12] TV-out modesetting kernel patches.
This patch series adds TV-out modesetting support to the KMS
implementation.
I've tried to test it on all the hardware I've got at hand (that is
nv11, nv17, nv34, nv35, nv40, nv4b) with every possible output
combination; I believe it has reached a mergeable state, however it
depends on some commits from drm-next that haven't got into Linus'
tree yet, if you agree to merge this
