statvfs change
An issue was found with the netBeans installer where the installation was failing on a large ZFS filesystem. This resulted in CR 6560644 (zfs statvfs f_frsize needs work). The issue is that large filesystems can cause EOVERFLOW on statvfs() calls. This behavior is documented in the statvfs(2) man page, but I think we can do better. The problem was initially reported against ZFS, and my first fix

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix orphan cleanup regression
In fixing how we deal with bad inodes, we had a regression in the orphan cleanup code, since it expects to get a bad inode back. So fix it to deal with getting -ESTALE back by deleting the orphan item manually and moving on. ...le tree and realized that the USB virtualization related code disappeared (e.g. /linux-2.6-xen-sparse/drivers/xen/usbfront/ and /linux-2.6-xen-sparse/drivers/xen/usbback/ directories are not present). I traced the changes to the changeset 7027:06d84bf87159 which was committed on september 22 by djm@kirby.fc.hp.com. Could someone please tell me if this was intended (and why?) or is it a mistake? R/W lock portability issue
Hi, I am having a problem porting Solaris R/W lock functionality to Linux. The problem is that RW_LOCK_HELD() doesn''t have an equivalent function in pthreads. This was not a problem before because RW_LOCK_HELD() was only used in ASSERT statements. In this case, I was able to make it work by making it behave a bit differently (specifically, it would return true if *any* thread was

Disabling zfs xattr in S10u4
Hi, I want to disable extended attributes in my zfs on s10u4. I found out that the command to do is zfs set xattr=off <poolname>. But, I do not see this option in s10u4. How can I disable zfs extended attributes on s10u4? I''m not in the zfs-discuss alias. Please respond to me directly. Thanks Balaji
