I've installed CentOS 6.6 on a workstation at a local non-profit as a kiosk machine. I used xguest. Works great, except now the customer wants the Firefox homepage to be one pointing to a particular site. Doesn't seem to be much documentation on how to make minor changes to the account. How can I remove the four items on screen? Applications, Places home trash from the command line? I'd prefer to remove the top panel and bottom panel all together if possible, but they can stay - I just don't want anything showing on the screen. searched all around for kiosk mode gnome3 etc.. not finding anything good for CentOS7.
