FW: backupexec

I've noticed 4.6 works well (the install actually works well and will walk you through the setup to publish the directories to be backed up). It's often easier to just publish root (but exclude /proc /tmp). Also, I've found out that in the hosts

Windows 7 client trying to authenticate with windows machine name
Hello there. I'm having an issue authenticating a Windows 7 (not in a domain) against a Samba 4.1.17 (debian Jessie). It appears that the client is trying to authenticate using with it's machine name and not the user filled in the auth form. I'm using security = user and I can confirm that the share is working with Win8. Could you check my conf & the error and share me your

Request For Additional Status Confirmation
Thanks, Roger, I thought I was replying to the list, but apparently not. So perhaps this will help someone else who has a similar situation. I wasn't clear enough in my initial question...it isn't so much that I want the status of the UPS, rather I want to know that the Pi is operational again after upsmon has shutdown the Pi and then the UPS has had power restored to it. I created a

Access to Samba server across subnets
Hello all, I'm using samba 2.2.7a with winbind on a RedHat 7.3 (pre-installed by Dell) server, with an NT PDC/BDC, with the NT PDC acting as the WINS server. Everything works fine on the local subnet 192.168.0.xxx, but we also have an IPSec VPN set up with our western call centre, and users on the western office subnet 192.168.10.xxx can't login to the samba shares. They can login to
