Help with printing fixed width
Hello R users, I am writing a summary() for a custom class, and am to display the integers right justified, Say where x is the vector with integers, I am using the following: cat("\t",format(x),"\t"...other columns) this way I am trying to pass the format(x), to the cat function to display it, but still I am getting a kink(b/w the 9th and 10th row). 6 81 170

ORC JIT Weekly #8: Basic OrcV2 C Bindings, MachO and COFF improvements.
...don't have a use case for the C APIs myself, so I'm just guessing as to what you need/want most from these APIs. Other notes from this week: The JITEventListeners support patch in https://reviews.llvm.org/D75838 will be (re)committed along with some example code as soon as I work out the kinks in the object buffer ownership -- Hopefully Monday or Tuesday this week. LLJIT now enables exception handling for MachO by default (7266a8bfeb8). RuntimeDyldCOFF will now build stubs for dllimports (337e131ca7de). JITLink now correctly scopes MachO linker-private symbols (b64afadf306, 9c9eb60b4b...

Switching to the New Pass Manager by Default
...at were initially made under the new PM have also slowly been ported over time. Now that LLVM 9.0.0 has branched, we have about 6 months before the next release. We think it would be a good idea to take this opportunity and make the new PM the default one which gives us enough time to work out any kinks that might come out of this switch before LLVM 10.0.0 branch point. We suspect that there may be other LLVM projects that will be affected by this, probably from unported passes. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Off the top of my head, the next immediate work would be to update the docs wit...

accordion (outlook bar thingy) help
Does anybody have a solution that really works nice? I know about: http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/accordion%20feature but I was hoping someone had worked out the kinks. I''m really looking for something like: http://openrico.org/rico/demos.page?demo=rico_accordion Thanks for your time. An open YP directory
...atible YP directory available to the public, I have begun www.openradiodirectory.org Directions for YP listing are here: http://www.openradiodirectory.org/list.php It's a 100% fresh YP implementation in PHP/MySQL. Touch frequency is currently at four minutes while I work out some of the minor kinks. There's still a few rough edges, but I hope this alleviates some of the ongoing problems and questions re: available Icecast YP servers that list mp3, etc. I hope this also supports the overall Icecast cause by throwing a bit of YP redundancy and variation into the mix. -Bryan Hance -openra...

odd behavior of browser()
Hi everyone, I normally include a call to browser() as I'm working out the kinks in my scripts, and I am always able to step through each line by hitting "Return", but for some reason, in the scripts I'm working on now, hitting "Return" seems to cause execution of *all* the lines in my script. I've restarted R several times in case it was stuck in a...

Asterisk PBX How-to Guide for Amazon EC2
I've just added a PREVIEW release of my upcoming how-to guide for Asterisk PBX on EC2. It is based on months of testing and evaluating Asterisk on EC2. It addresses all kinks and showstoppers that many people have experienced over the past year or so. Because this is a preview, it is not the final version of this guide. It is subject to change (format, copy, layout, etc.) To view and download this guide, please visit http://ronaldlewis.com/2008/07/08/asterisk-pbx-on-am...

Rails 1.1.1: Fixing a slew of minors (but you must still freeze Typo)
Rails 1.1 was a big upgrade with a lot of new features and we''ve been working hard since its release to polish off the kinks revealed after it was deployed to the masses. Rails 1.1.1 contains fixes for things like Prototype memory leaks in IE 6, Oracle adapter runnings, and a number of compatibility tweaks to make most older applications work. This release still doesn''t work with Typo, though. And it won'...

[LLVMdev] Deadline for Release Notes Changes
Dear All, I'd like to update the Release Notes for LLVM 2.7 at some point to reflect our efforts to update SAFECode and Automatic Pool Allocation to LLVM 2.7. However, I'm still working out the kinks in the updated code, so I don't want to add the text right away. By when do you need updates to the Release Notes for inclusion with LLVM 2.7? -- John T.

new mailing list for Alioth tracker notifications
Everyone, I think we have most of the kinks worked out of the new Alioth tracker notification mailing list: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-tracker List membership is open to all. For tracker items that you have submitted yourself, nothing has changed - you will still receive email updates when someone comments on y...

Any problems in scanning & saving to disk or rather, is there any gui for scanning etc. & especially checking ink levels other maintainence tasks? I use Fedora 6 and CentOS 4/5. Any other model recommendations? With best regards. Sanjay

LVM hatred, was Re: /boot on a separate partition?
...that use rsync). That's server stuff. On a desktop with a combination of SSD and "spinning rust" drives, LVM can give you transparent SSD caching of "hot" data (rather than you having to put some filesystems on SSD and some on hard drive). Now, if btrfs ever gets all the kinks worked out (and has a stable "fsck" for the corner cases), it integrates volume management into the filesystem, which makes some of the management easier. I used AdvFS on DEC/Compaq/HP Tru64 Unix, which had some of that, and it made some of this easier/faster/smoother. Btrfs may eventua...

Junk mail filtering in Evolution
I'm upgrading a few clients to CentOS 4.2. They have been using Evolution 1.x, so this is the first release that will have junk mail filtering. So I've switched from Thunderbird to Evolution on my own desktop tp better support them. I have been dutifully marking the spam and the ham. But the filter has so far not flagged a single email on its own. (I've flagged about a hundred so

LVM RAID0 and SSD discards/TRIM
I'm trying to work out the kinks of a proprietary, old, and clunky application that runs on CentOS. One of its main problems is that it writes image sequences extremely non-linearly and in several passes, using many CPUs, so the sequences get very fragmented. The obvious solution to this seems to be to use SSDs for its output,...
