Help with printing fixed width
Hello R users,
I am writing a summary() for a custom class, and am to display the integers
right justified,
Say where x is the vector with integers, I am using the following:
cat("\t",format(x),"\t"...other columns)
this way I am trying to pass the format(x), to the cat function to display
it,
but still I am getting a kink(b/w the 9th and 10th row).

ORC JIT Weekly #8: Basic OrcV2 C Bindings, MachO and COFF improvements.
Hi All,
I've added a very basic set of C bindings for OrcV2 in 633ea07200e, with an
example in llvm/example/OrcV2Examples/BasicOrcV2CBindings. Development of
the C APIs is being tracked by http://llvm.org/PR31103 -- if you're
interested in C APIs for OrcV2 please get involved. I would especially
appreciate feedback and patches from C API users: I don't have a use case
for the C APIs

Switching to the New Pass Manager by Default
Hello all,
As of now, all LLVM and Clang tests have been updated/addressed to run
under the new/experimental pass manager (at least the ones that failed when
using the new PM).
For those who aren't aware of what the new pass manager (PM) is, the tl;dr
is that this will serve as a replacement for the legacy PM, and promises
faster build times by restructuring how passes are run over IR units.

accordion (outlook bar thingy) help
Does anybody have a solution that really works nice? I know about:
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/accordion%20feature but I was
hoping someone had worked out the kinks. I''m really looking for something
like: http://openrico.org/rico/demos.page?demo=rico_accordion
Thanks for your time.

An open YP directory
Hello all -
In the interest of getting an open, mp3-compatible YP directory
available to the public, I have begun www.openradiodirectory.org
Directions for YP listing are here: http://www.openradiodirectory.org/list.php
It's a 100% fresh YP implementation in PHP/MySQL. Touch frequency is
currently at four minutes while I work out some of the minor kinks.
There's still a few rough

odd behavior of browser()
Hi everyone,
I normally include a call to browser() as I'm working out the kinks in my
scripts, and I am always able to step through each line by hitting
"Return", but for some reason, in the scripts I'm working on now, hitting
"Return" seems to cause execution of *all* the lines in my script. I've
restarted R several times in case it was stuck in a bad state for

Asterisk PBX How-to Guide for Amazon EC2
I've just added a PREVIEW release of my upcoming how-to guide for Asterisk
PBX on EC2. It is based on months of testing and evaluating Asterisk on EC2.
It addresses all kinks and showstoppers that many people have experienced
over the past year or so. Because this is a preview, it is not the final
version of this guide. It is subject to change (format, copy, layout, etc.)

Rails 1.1.1: Fixing a slew of minors (but you must still freeze Typo)
Rails 1.1 was a big upgrade with a lot of new features and we''ve been
working hard since its release to polish off the kinks revealed after
it was deployed to the masses. Rails 1.1.1 contains fixes for things
like Prototype memory leaks in IE 6, Oracle adapter runnings, and a
number of compatibility tweaks to make most older applications work.
This release still doesn''t work

[LLVMdev] Deadline for Release Notes Changes
Dear All,
I'd like to update the Release Notes for LLVM 2.7 at some point to
reflect our efforts to update SAFECode and Automatic Pool Allocation to
LLVM 2.7. However, I'm still working out the kinks in the updated code,
so I don't want to add the text right away.
By when do you need updates to the Release Notes for inclusion with LLVM
2.7?

Upgrade to 8.2 from 7.8
So now that 8 is out - is it still "frowned" upon to do that in place
update ?
Is that not a good / valid solution ?
Thanks,

new mailing list for Alioth tracker notifications
Everyone,
I think we have most of the kinks worked out of the new Alioth tracker
notification mailing list:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-tracker
List membership is open to all.
For tracker items that you have submitted yourself, nothing has
changed - you will still receive email updates when someone comments
on your bug/feature/patch (or otherwise changes the tracker

OT: Feedback Request: HP Laserjet MFD M3027x and Laserjet 2840 on Linux?
Hello all
Sorry for posting my query here, but did not have any success in getting
feedback from linuxprinting.org/ openprinting.org forums.
Planning to buy a new colour MFD or a Mono MFD & a Colour printer, for
small buisiness office use. Could someone give feedback on HP Laserjet
MFD M3027x and Laserjet 2840? Do all functions provided by the printers
work on Linux? Any kinks? Do

SV: Re: script.aculo.us question
Another option would be to use conditional comments, which is only supported in IE. Either in the javascript:
/*@cc_on @*/
/*@if (@_win32)
Event.observe(window, ''load'', ...(replace img)...);
/*@end @*/
Or in the HTML for including the script (this support checking versions):
<!-[if lt IE 7]>...include script...<![endif]-->

I've used LVM on servers with hot-swap drives to migrate to new storage
without downtime a number of times. Add new drives to the system,

Junk mail filtering in Evolution
I'm upgrading a few clients to CentOS 4.2. They have been using
Evolution 1.x, so this is the first release that will have junk mail
filtering. So I've switched from Thunderbird to Evolution on my own
desktop tp better support them.
I have been dutifully marking the spam and the ham. But the filter has
so far not flagged a single email on its own. (I've flagged about a

LVM RAID0 and SSD discards/TRIM
I'm trying to work out the kinks of a proprietary, old, and clunky
application that runs on CentOS. One of its main problems is that it
writes image sequences extremely non-linearly and in several passes,
using many CPUs, so the sequences get very fragmented.
The obvious solution to this seems to be to use SSDs for its output, and
some scripts that will pick up and copy our the sequences
