...N IP's from another LAN client. Normally I don't worry about it, but I had some comments about how long the stream I have was taking to buffer. I later put it down to re-connection attempts by the web player I'm using so have started to re-investigate this. So I hunted out a 2.4.0 kh8 server found here http://radionz-ice.streamguys.com/ (don't know what OS) and these streams switch seamlessly without any connection problems. No matter how many times I re-start the stream. So if I go clean out the 2.4.4 files and directory and install 2.4.0 kh8 on the server here, the pro...

I have kh8 running on port 8000 while I test a few things out more with 2.4.4 on 9000. I can't remember which version of Icecast I was using when I first started noticing these odd weird connects. I'll have to keep rolling back until it goes away again, it was earlier on in 2.4.x or just before it. I...

This is call for volunteers to try out some modifications to icecast for supporting burst on connection (aka fast pre-buffering). http://www.xiph.org/~karl/icecast-2.0-kh8.tar.gz Your existing icecast.xml configuration file should have the same behaviour as CVS is now ie no bursting, only when you add the <burst-size> tags (specified in bytes) in the <limits> section should the burst behaviour be seen. All other functionality should be available but fee...

I checked out CVS ices/libshout the other day for a new system and I noticed it corrupted a file streamed to disk. Again, your *-kh changes fixed this. I have lingering ambitions to make a GUI for the ices/icecast config f...
