Blocking and compression.
Hello. I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the guy that wrote kexis way
back when. For those of you that dont know, kexis was written before
flac, and pretty much does what flac does, although its not nearly as
nice or robust. I wrote kexis actualy cause I was interested in playing

[Flac-users] FLAC/LPAC/Bzip2 better for archival?
Hi. I am a student with limited funds and storage space on my linux box. So I am trying to decide what audio compression scheme to use for my collection of audio tapes (recordings of one speaker, preaching in an church auditorium, recorded with low-grade mics and tape decks) converted to digital audio (16bit, stereo, WAV, 44100Hz). 'Setup cannot find necessary files' message
Running Wine 1.0.1 in Ubuntu 9.10, trying to install FileMaker Pro 9 from CD. (Install from this CD works fine on Windows machine.)
'Setup cannot find necessary files' message appears when launching setup.exe with Wine.
WINEDEBUG=+loaddll on setup.exe gives the output below; looks like all needed .dlls are there.
Same problem reported on Ubuntu forums earlier in 2009 by another user:

mysql frontend for linux.
Hi list.
I''m using Ubuntu distro. for rails development. Today, to my disappoint,

very well.
(1) mysql-query-browser: Seems to be very nice. But, it quickly exits
when I press ctrl+enter or modify a table structure. Something strange
is happening here, but I can not figure out what it is.

I am trying to convert a customer over to Linux workstation,
instead of upgrading to Windows 7.
One last program to go. I can not get Access 2003 to work
with CentOS 5.4's Wine 1.0.1. I am set to upgrade his test
workstation to Fedora 12 and the latest Wine in a month
or so. (Access 2003 crashed when you try to open a database.)
Does anyone know if Access 2003 works in the latest
