Eliminating duplicate photos
I've seen fslint and fdupes recommended for this in CentOS, but neither seem to be available as packages. Is anyone using either under CentOS-5.6? It seems that they are available in the rpmfusion-free repository, but as far as I can see this is not functioning with CentOS at present. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of

Chicken and egg question: passwd and cronjob
Hi all, Let's say I activate password expiration for every account (including root) for every 90 days. I understand that cronjob for root will fail when the password expires. The question is, if I setup a cronjob every 90 days to renew the root password like: echo diFficulT123 | passwd --stdin root will it work? However, in order to get the pcl file from an original pdf file we have to

Well, I updated my system late last week, and just thought to look: yes, I'm on t-bird 10.0.1, and I pull up the search messages window, and click on the dropdown... and there is NO OPTION to search the content of the messages. Maybe kmail, or maybe mutt.... mark

flash and konqueror
I am stuck taking this stupid online training course from work. It just sits there doing nothing with firefox, so I pulled up konqueror, and tell it to lie and say it's IE. That works... until it gets to the content, which some HR moron is *positive* desperately needs to be in flash. I've gone into konqi's configuration, and told it to scan the correct directory for plugins, and yet

OpenSSH 2.5.0p* hangs and logout when process backgrounded
Since I upgraded everything up to OpenSSH2.5.0p*, anytime I logout from a terminal where I backgrounded a process, the terminal will not close until the process is finished. Anyone else experiencing this or know why this is going on? Kevin O'Brien Systems/Network Administrator E! Online, LLC http://www.eonline.com
