color code from csv
hi folks, this is driving me up the wall. Apologies for posting twice in the same week, I'm writing up a thesis. I wish to color-code some dots in an xy plot. I've got a csv file with various elements, one of which is the color-key (with the header 'color'). If the color-key is decimal (eg. 1,2,3) then I can use plot (X ~ Y, col=data$color) The problem, however, is that using

Dot plot - equivalent of MINITAB
hi folks, Bit of a newbie, but I've spent a fair bit of time looking for an answer on this, with no joy. Can anyone help me? Dataset: A single column of values in a csv file (eg. 52, 53, 54, 85, etc) Goal: In Minitab, you have what they call a dot plot. It's a histogram, where a single dot represents a set of identical values (eg. 57, 57, 57 would be one dot). Multiple dots are

...that not the core philosophy of CentOS? It's a non-commercial repackaging of RHEL. Why go in a different direction in the first place? I understand things have evolved beyond that simplistic viewpoint, but perhaps CentOS should go back in that direction(?). It certainly would have avoided this kerfuffle. If external forces are moving CentOS towards becoming an entirely different distro, then break the cord. Make the choice clear. r-base is already the newest version (3.5.2-1bionic)
After a great deal of apparently irrelevant kerfuffle, with which I have been boring this list, I managed to do: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade without getting error messages. I was told that there was nothing to do. I then (to make sure?) did: sudo apt-get install r-base and was told: > r-base is already the newest version (3.5.2-1bi...

advice for alternative to barchart
hi folks, I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I've created a stacked barchart, with 'car model' along the x axis, 'number of cars' along the y axis. There are 45 individuals involved, each of which can own any number of cars, of any model (eg an individual could own two cars of one model, and another car of a different model). I've got a legend by the

Problems using Clang with LLD on embedded ARM
Hi, I stopped into IRC to ask about a problem I've been having using Clang in conjunction with LLD to compile and link for an embedded project on Cortex-M ARM processor. First, I am able to separately compile with a call to clang and link with a call to lld, but I cannot use clang to link using lld using the -fuse-ld=lld flag. I have the output from `clang -v -fuse-ld=lld -target
