Ruby on Rails Asset pipeline - Pro and Cons
I was in chapter 5 of the Ruby on Rails, and I come across "Asset pipeline"
when R-o-R detect and jam all css and js files into one.
It''s true that Browser will have to make less requests, but at the same
time, the browser will potentially have to process more code than it should?
For example, I use a slider jquery plugin in gallery page, since R-o-R fuse

wilcox.test p-value = 0
hi, folks,
how have you gone about reporting a p-value from a test when the
returned value from a test (in this case a rank-sum test) is
numerically equal to 0 according to the machine?
the next lowest value greater than zero that is distinct from zero on
the machine is likely algorithm-dependent (the algorithm of the test
itself), but without knowing the explicit steps of the algorithm

psi not functioning in nlrob?
Hi all,
I'm trying to fit a nonlinear regression by "nlrob":
model3=nlrob(y~a1*x^a2,data=transient,psi=psi.bisquare,
start=list(a1=0.02,a2=0.7),maxit=1000)
However an error message keeps popping up saying that the function
psi.bisquare doesn't exist.
I also tried psi.huber, which is supposed to be the default for nlrob:
model3=nlrob(y~a1*x^a2,data=transient,psi=psi.huber,

DNA sequence Fst
Hi,
I want to analyse DNA sequence data (mtDNA) in R as in calculate Fst,
Heterozygosity and such summary statistics. Package Adagenet converts the
DNA sequence into retaining only retaining the polymorphic sites and then
calcuates Fst.. but is there any other way to do this? I mean analyse the
DNA sequence as it is.. and calculate the statistics?
Thanks!

I am a new user for R. I am eager to lean about it.
I wanted to read and summary of the a simple data file
I used the following,
rel <- read.table("C:/Documents and Settings/ashta/My
Documents/R_data/rel.dat", quote="",header=FALSE,sep="",col.names=
c("id","orel","nrel"))
summary(rel)

with R?
* What documents helped you the most in this

I especially want to hear from people who are

Feel free to write to me off-list. Definitely
write off-list if you are just confirming what
has been said on-list.
