Hunting for DIDs in Kenya/Nigeria
Don't know if anyone's got experiences on this they'd be able to share...
I'm trying to obtain numbers for Kenya/Nigeria, but I'm struggling to find a
company selling them. There's one for Nigeria listed on didx.com, but
$22/month seems a little steep. Has anyone had any luck getting DIDs for
countries in Africa, and are there any companies out there selling them?

Subsets without NA

Inactivity restart segmentation fault
...Why does * have to
restart after a prolonged period of inactivity and how can I stop
this?
I'm running * version 1.0.7 on Debian Woody with Digium TDM11B
hardware installed. I will appreciate whatever help I'll get on

Changing factor to numeric
...numeric will contain a value like
680 if the 5.735 was the highest value for the varible and the dataset had
680 records.
How can I change the storage type without changing the contents of this
variable in this case?

UTMP logging in Samba 3.0.1 does not have hostnames

Cyber Timer(cybermanager)

International dialing with GPX-2000 and "early dial"
...trying to allow users to place outgoing international calls from a
GPX-2000 with "early dial" enabled, connected to Asterisk 1.2.12.1
I have the following extension line:
exten => _011.,n,Dial(${TRUNK}/${EXTEN:${TRUNKMSD}})
When I attempt to place a call to a number in, for instance, Kenya, I
dial "011254"...etc.
and I get this on the asterisk console:
Executing Dial("SIP/1001-081fb718", "Zap/g1/0112") in new stack
-- Called g1/0112
It is attempting to dial out as soon as it receives a single digit to
represent the "."
What I need is for...

html help for packages with MS Windows
In the past few days, I have been helping people from Ethiopia and
from Kenya to get started with R. We have discovered that properly
installed libraries (survival5 or mine) work and the online (with ?)
help is available but they do not appear in the html help (under
packages) with MS Windows. Only the libraries supplied with R appear

Internet works fine under the windows Vista system but not on the

invalid factor level, NAs generated
I've seen a few threads about this, but none that seem to answer my problem
I have a list of .txt files in a directory that I am reading into R and row
binding together. I am using the following code to do so:
