Individual log likelihoods of nlsList objects.
...an nlsList object?
On p. 349 of Pinheiro and Bates (2000) the logLik() function is said to give
the sum of the individual nls log-likelihoods. However,
logLike(some.nlsList.object) does not work for me (even when there are no
NAs). Any ideas?
Thanks for any thoughts or feedback. Have a good day,

Wildcards (include)
Hi,
I'm trying to synchronize some directories.
Let's say I need to synchronize:
/web/sites
/var/qmail/control
/home/ken
I don't want to run 3 rsync commands. I have already tried
using --include --exclude options, but it didn't work at all.
I supppose my command should be as follows:
rsync -azvl --include-from=includes --exclude='*' / username@host.com:/ken/backup/
includes:
/web/sites
/var/qmai...

did have the migration syntax wrong a couple of times, but now even
though I think it''s fine, it still doesn''t work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I''m running Ruby 1.8.4 with Rails 1.1.2 on Windows, btw.

ls permissions format changed in CentOS 8
Found it. It happens from the process buffer inside Lugaru Epsilon. I think
ls thinks it's doing a DIRED output instead of a shell output. Now I need
to figure out why it thinks that. This wasn't happening in CentOS 7.

...sions. When a call is parked, whichever parking lot
extension it's parked on lights up red. We've never used the "announce"
part and I'm wondering if there's an option I can't seem to find to
disable the announce so the transfer happens faster.
Thanks for any help,

...ort layer probe code into a

Anyway, these patches work for me, but if I could get some feedback from
people running with INVARIANTS turned on in -stable, I'd appreciate it.
If it seems to work for people, I'll talk to re@ about getting this in
before 4.9 goes out the door.

variables in object names

So I assign the first value to rsq then cycle through models 2 through 5
gathering there values. The %i% in my third line indicates which object
to draw from. The question is is there any way to pass a variable such
as i as part of a name?

"Decent" sub-$100 SIP phone.
...the less overall

Anyone using Firebird w/ Rails?
I saw that there''s a patch in the queue
(http://dev.rubyonrails.com/ticket/1874) for a Firebird adapter. Just
wondering if anyone is using this, the other Firebird adapter, or
something else w/ Rails. My main interest is that sometimes Windows is a
target platform, and Firebird is stable on Windows, whereas I''ve heard
that the Windows version of PostgreSQL isn''t
