amd64 packages for ubuntu hardy version mismatch?
Hi, Trying to do a fresh install of R 2.7.2 packages on an AMD64 server running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 and have run into some problems - version of r-base-core for AMD64 appears to not match version of other packages including r-base and r-recommended and so install fails. The deb packages for r-base-core_2.7.2-1hardy1_amd64 don't appear to have been built yet. Guessing this is an AMD64

Installing splancs_2.01-9 on Red Hat Linux 7.3
Hi all, I'm trying to install the splancs contributed package on a Redhat 7.3 system with R 1.5.1 installed. I've installed the readline41-4.1-10 RPM which Redhat requires for R and it works great, thanks very much. However, when I attempt to R CMD INSTALL splancs_2.01-9.tar.gz as root, I get the following error message during the install: [snip] g77 -fPIC -O2 -m486

Any workaround for CRAN Mac OS X compiler switch to R 2.10.0?
Hello, Has the CRAN compiler for Mac OS X switched to using R 2.10? I recently uploaded an update for the package I maintain to CRAN, and it's no longer possible to run the package after installing CRAN binaries for this package under Mac OS X 10.5 and R 2.9.1. The package is picante 0.7-1. It passes all checks on CRAN cleanly. Under R 2.9.1 on Mac OS X 10.5, the package can be

I have a router used as a gateway for a small lan, I want half the machines to use one IP and half to use another IP when using SNAT to reach the internet.
