recycle not working as I expected
I have the following in my configuration file and recycle is working for the share but

- touch does not seem to be changing the time on the files to show me when they were deleted
- keeptree does not work when there are multiple users within a share and prevents the recycle from working in some cases.
---- if user1 deletes a file everything works fine. If user2 deletes something along the same tree the permissions prevent the creation of the file in the recycle. So I've turned of...

config-file for recycle bin
I make a recycle bin as follow:
config-file = /etc/samba/recycle.conf
vfs object = recycle
recycle:subdir_mode = 0770
recycle:keeptree = Yes
recycle:repository = Recycle Bin
recycle:versions = Yes
recycle:directory_mode = 0770
But testparm shows:
Unknown parameter encounter: "config-file"
Ignoring unknown parameter "config-file"
What could be the problem and the solution?

vfs_recycle on samba 4.3.9 as DC reset permissions

My Problem is now that I tried to enable the samba recycle bin:
[mytest]
path = /data/samba/mytest
read only = No
vfs objects = recycle
recycle:repository = .recycle
recycle:touch = yes
recycle:keeptree = yes
After enabling the module all permissions for this share where reset to
the defaults (everyone can enter).
If I now try to change the permissions for the share or an subfolder the
permissions will reset in the moment I press apply.
So after enabling the vfs_recycle module the permission sy...

I enabled successful a trash folder with vsf_recycle by a specific share.

Samba 4.12 on Ubuntu 20.04
Windows 10 and 7 clients
I have configured recycle on two shares, /Users and /Documents.

recycle:keeptree = yes
On the Users share I have

On the Documents share I have

The Document share recycle works. Folder was created and the test
files occured in that folder. However, for the Users share, no folder

Authentication problems
I am having a problem similar to the one that Jason Gerrity is having
with authentication. Sometimes people are unable to access drives on
one of our unix servers from an NT machine. They are prompted for their
password and when they enter it they get the message "Incorrect password
or unknown username." These are people that have permissions on unix
and can usually access these
