GPO administration right on the station for ordinary user
The Wiki page you pointed to describes a modification to the *Default Domain Policy*. This is probably why you never met the issue I described. As I reported on my previous post, the Default Domain Policy was the only one that kept working after the Microsoft update. All the other GPOs that I had set stopped being applied.

GPOs not Working!
...etter if you need your system ACLs be set for local or NFS file access, too. Failure gpupdate
Colleagues, I come to seek help to solve this problem. I use Samba 4.4.5. I'm getting errors when running gpupdate / force on local desktops. I get the following error: User policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were encountered: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not apply the registry-based policy settings for the Group Policy object

GPOs not Working!
ok, do the following. set ignore systemacl to yes on sysvol and netlogon. login as dom\administrator computer manager, connect to dc. share sysvol, goto share security, reset to defalts. same for folder. goto gpo manager, klik on every gpo object, if one has wrong acl, you get a message to reset it, thats ok. now never samba-tool sysvol reset if you do, you might need to set share/file
